I can't find anywhere on how to make the emoticons. Always wanted to, but don't know how. Can anyone enlighten me for the next time I'm watching a live show? Many thanks.

@alehud42: Oh you literally just type their name after a colon? I thought he was just listing out who they have emoticons for. Well I feel stupid now.

Yeah? I think the angles of the thumb and fingers are a little too obtuse.

I really like the idea of adding these. It seems like they could be useful in lots of situations and having them back would be nice.

If we don't get a Brad Muir emoticon, I'm quitting GB forever. Also, I think we just need more general emotions in our emoticons, like twitch's Biblethump. It's hard to convey emotion from a P4 style drawing of a staff member.

Can anyone tell me what the actual pixel size an emoticon gets resized to is?

Here are the portraits from the BGXMegaman game I made a while back. They fit -_-;;

Well. Fit if the emoticon size is actually 30x30 like I heard it was.

Oh, and how about the actual Sims diamond while we're at it?

#74 Edited by Vuud (1456 posts) -

Okay, here are two adorable little alpacas already emoticon size:

I think I like the second one better.

You'd need a black background, you cant see those well

That is, if we really need Alpacas :)

#76 Posted by Vuud (1456 posts) -

@kadash299: It looks good with the website's dark theme, and the chat background is always black. AND HELL YES WE NEED ALPACAS!

Three more candidates, and I'll stop now because this is too much fun:

:RIPANDTEAR for when you're raging

:Geeko because why not

And :Jeffu for when Jeff is being creepy, especially about anime girls

Good emoticons need to be things that are versatile, and can be used to react to lots of different situations. As far as that goes, we clearly need:

:D for Brad Muir, which would be great for expressing joy at any kind of wonderful surprise;

:forkliftalexis, or whatever you would want to call it, for excitement at a really bad great idea that is about to happen;

:smith for Will Smith picking his lock, whose uses should be pretty obvious;

And then maybe a couple others, such as:

:creeperjeff, and/or :sketchjeff, whose uses should also be obvious;

:science, which would theoretically be some kind of image of Brad in a labcoat/goggles looking all serious, for when someone who is usually Brad starts dropping big-time science facts that are only tangentially related to the game being played;

And :coolbaby, because sometimes things are just cool as shit. Baby. (Could also be that Jeff Green icon from above.)

Obviously these ones I whipped up just now look like crap... but you get the idea. Probably!

Edit: Also, this:

The last thing we need is more people spamming emoticons in the chat and turning it into Twitch.

Did any of these ever get implemented into the chat? It'd be a shame if none of them did, because there's some pretty awesome posts here. I guess I'll just try some of them the next time there's a live stream.
