Thank you for the stream really enjoying it while doing stuff around the house as background noise. Really hope you could see the show notes to see the date at least. Any excuse to listen to Ryan's laughter is good in my book. :)
Bombcast Rewind: Revengeance is on the air

Yeah, that would be pretty sweet to be able to post any sort of show notes on the mixlr page. I'm working on getting some twitter integration going, so we could at least broadcast out the date/track titles for those that join up in the middle of a track. Glad you're enjoying it, @cky4890!
It's just weird to hear them hype up games we eventually knew to be terrible (Steel Battalion Kinect), or to be vaporware (Prey 2), or talk about stuff as if they are definites. I caught them discussing EA's attempted buyout of Take Two a few years ago, and they speak of it as if it was going to happen, and Take Two's Wikipedia page even has a section about the attempted buyout. That's how prominent it was. And now if anything, it was real touch and go for a few years that it'd go the other way and EA would collapse, but now they're both pretty fine, all things considered.
Quick announcement. I would like to give a big thanks to @fadedoasis for announcing, in chat, new track titles as they come up -purely out of the goodness of his heart. Faded, you did this with great vigilance and precision, thank you. And now, you've been replaced by a machine.
Bombcast Rewind: Revengeance is now on twitter! Follow @BRRevengeance to get a new tweet each time a new track plays, so you can keep up with what's currently on the air!
I've been going to sleep while listening to this for several days now and I don't even care if that sounds weird.
Bless you, friend. I am eternally pumped and grateful.
As some of you are aware, the stream's had some issues the past couple weeks. Between storms repeatedly knocking out my power, and some database issues, and taking care of a 5mo old, it's not been as smooth of a ride as I would have liked to have delivered. BUT, I think everything is finally in good shape again, and we should be good to go for another nice long run. Thanks for sticking with me, duders, and for continuing to tune in.
UPDATE: BRR will be going on a brief pause for a few days this upcoming weekend, as I get moved into my new house. I am currently planning on taking it down either July 4th or 5th, and then bringing it back online either July 6th or 7th. I know this is not the best timing, with the long weekend coming up for a lot of folks, but there's not a lot I can do :) and I will do my best to get the stream back up and running as soon as possible.
You can follow BRR on mixlr and twitter (links on OP post) to get notified as soon as the stream comes back online.
Thank you for all the moving well wishes duders, I appreciate it. And with that...
BRR is back!
What he said :)
Felt like going back and listening to some bombcasts, then remembered this existed. Doing god's work here!
Wanted to put in my two cents as well, I'm SO bummed the channel went down. Really hope it comes back!
The stream seems to have died again. What happened? I need my fix.
This
Just found this, thinking it was an awesome idea, only to find the stream had died out some time ago. Dangit.
Mods, my apologies for reviving an old thread. But since this thread is pinned I figured this was the best place to mention this.
Since all of the Mixlr channels playing the Bombcast and Beastcast's on shuffle are currently retired I figured I'd mentioned a project that I've been working on that accomplishes very similar goals.
This is a website that I put together that automatically plays older Bombcast and Beastcast episodes on shuffle. It does this without requiring a central server and also plays the episodes from the giantbomb servers. Hopefully that lets the staff at GB have better visibility and track who's listening to the back catalog than the Mixlr did.
If you have any questions, comments or feedback I'd love to hear it.
as a users who listen to the mixlr channels alot.....this is a good (http://gbencore.com/) is substitute.
@chadj: great job, thanks for doing this. I've been using gbencore a lot for the last week and it worked really well. Absolutely loving it.
And thanks also to the fine people who offered the mixlr rewind channel for the last couple years, being able to just tune into random bombcasts/beastcasts that way has been great.
