Edit: oops, this week's Bombcast. I think Rorie mentioned the one I linked a while ago.

The Beastcast were recently talking about Hyperion when they were discussing a giant tree ship, the Shrike and a cantos.

Man that's a good one, and the sequel was also great. I heard the quality drops sharply when it gets to Endymion though.

@thainatos: The Endymion books definitely don't clear the high bar set by Hyperion and Fall of Hyperion, but I still enjoyed them for what they were.

Hyperion is my favourite read of all time, it's a masterpiece
