Over all these years, I noticed that the emails Ryan picks all start off with the name of the user and maybe their location. Is that something everyone adds to their emails? I've never sent in a question, but I wonder if Ryan specifically picks emails with names or it's just a tradition among users to send them with all that info (cause they wanna be famous?).

He doesn't like it when you don't include a name.

I've heard he stabs you if you don't.

Is it an unwritten rule?

I believe so. He has mentionned, or atleast implied a couple of times, that he's not reading emails without names or obviously fake names.

He seems to only make an exception if the email is really good.

People typically sign their name when they write a letter or sign off with their name when they write an email, so why wouldn't you for sending in a question?
