Now that the dubstep corner has become an essential part of the Bombcast with it having a pretty regular weekly discussion what are some of the best dubstep tracks out there? We need to know in order to get a better understanding of the minds of the people on the show.

But then of course to keep it video game related..

The great Deadmau5 even gets in on the action

So yeah, dubstep=bombcast.

Someone needs to remix the bombcast theme and add in some heavy drops.

@LordJezo: That Tetris remix isn't Deadmau5. He might've used it in a mix, but it's Doctor P. Excision has also used it in this amazing dubstep mix:

I'm still not sure about dubstep. Some of it is awesome, some of it really rubs me the wrong way.

Louder I really like. The Crave You remix has a good sound, but gets a bit boring for me.

Here's an example of dubstep I think is horrible, but feel free to enjoy ;)

Was going to point that out as well.

Here's some Japanese dubstep (though there's not really anything with it that immediately makes you think "Japan!" or such).

More dubstep! :p

I saw Rusko live and he dropped this track. It was sick. Because i was rolling mad balls. And giving light shows.. XD

Bill Cosby Dubstep mentioned on End of Star Wars Galaxies broadcast. Sick drop at about 2 minutes.

It's all about the dubstep remix of the Jurassic Park theme.

YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN WITH ALL THAT BROSTEP SHIT. BACK IN MY DAY, WE HAD REAL DUBSTEP:

But if you insist, I also know some decent wobble-tacular AGGRO dubstep as well, sigh:

Mate this is the world's hardest dubstep...

This one's a classic

Now for something happier

.....seriously. The skill with the subtleness of the compositions, the thought behind the themes & the emotion explored in the tunes are a really hard to do, especially with the narrow preconception/perception people have on the dubstep-scene.

Also, this is considered to be one of the most epic things when heard live but the clip's audio quality is awful.

EDIT: @Harkat: YES MALA!

Well, personally, I've always found that- WUUUUB WUB WUB WUB WUUUUB WUB WUB WUB BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BEEEEEWWWWWWW WUUUUUUUB WUB WUB WUB.

WUB.

(That's right, I just dubstepped my own post. Come at me.)

Dubstep was over two years ago. What you are raving about here is Brostep.

#33 Posted by Simplexity (1382 posts) -

I am enjoying it as long as it lasts, I have a feeling 2012 will not be kind on dubstep unfortunately.

#34 Posted by Wipeout (261 posts) -

Man all you hipster dubstep elitists need to stop posting all your boring ass drum'n'bass junk in here. If Brostep is the shit that I like, then I don't care what its called, keep it coming!

#35 Posted by Gloobus (32 posts) -

I think this was the song that originally got me into modern dubstep.

#36 Edited by Mr_Skeleton (5140 posts) -

This actually a really good dubstep, which also has a mindblowing dancer.

#37 Edited by BigChickenDinner (766 posts) -

@Vaspire: I've seen this live, by Zeds Dead, great strobes....

@Mr_Skeleton:

Holy......

#43 Posted by Owlhead (152 posts) -

I've been know to listen to a few wubs in my time

#44 Posted by JonathanAshleyMoore (283 posts) -

If we can make a distinction between Dubstep and Brostep, I love Dubstep. If, in the eyes of everybody else, it's the same thing, Dubstep is not my thing.

#45 Posted by Ub3rSlug (153 posts) -

I'll add this to the pile of Dubstep...

And it's videogame related! The title of the track on SoundCloud is "The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of The Measurable Period During Which An Action Process Or Condition Exists Or Continues", which I still think is witty. Also, wub.

Trust me duders, if you like dubstep... this song is FOR YOU

#49 Posted by LordJezo (82 posts) -

Holy shit, there is even a dubstep remix of Downton Abbey.

Amazing.
