So yeah, been watching a bunch of movies lately (largely due to getting some of the PAX swine flu) and decided to check out some stuff that was mentioned on the Podcast. Turns out "They Live" is amazing, "Slither" is a lot of fun and "Loaded Weapon 1" is really, really stupid. Oh, and checked out "Cobra" some time ago and that movie is extraordinary in a lot of ways. Had a full day off yesterday so decided to go about compiling the ultimate list of films mentioned on the Bombcast, Twitter feeds and audioboos, as well as some stuff I just remember from the glory days of the Hotspot (yeah, kinda weird but got to listen to a lot of great music while doing so). So yeah, not sure its complete but its well on its way.

Some films were merely mentioned by a staff member and were not followed up with a verdict on whether or not they liked it. Some of those are on here as well with question marks as they are awaiting confirmation. The staff members I know for sure stated they liked it are mentioned in brackets. Its entirely possible others also enjoyed it, but this is all the information I have. Also, Drew is kind of under-represented on this list as he has only been on a handful of podcasts and I could not find his twitter feed (provided he has one).

Plan to update this list going forward. If you recall or discover more they endorse, site a source and I'll add it.

I wasn't really clear if anyone actually enjoyed Ghost Ship. Ryan liked the cut/slide sequence but it seemed thats all he saw of it. And Vinny had seen it but again, not sure he liked it beyond that. I'll add it with a "?" for now.

Dude, you are absolutely killer for making this list.

Brave Little Toaster! I ate that shit for breakfast as a kid and loved every bite. Although I'll never forget this particular scene for it's inherent creepiness, this will probably appeal to more peeps"

I really, really love the staff here. I really do. That being said, I almost always disagree strongly with all of Jeff's movie choices and preferences. There may be one or two movies he has mentioned highly that I agree with. Everything else....meh. Vinny doesn't delve too much into movies so I don't know many of his opinions and neither does Brad. Ryan is closer to my taste but he still has moments when he is similar to Jeff. Dave is usually close to my views on films, maybe because, as Ryan said, he is a "movie snob." I guess I am too.

Nonetheless, I do remember Synecdoche, New York being Dave's most beloved film for awhile as well. I actually liked that one but, wow, that defines the term, "mindfuck."

@RHCPfan24: I have a feeling that the dude just listed all the movies they've mentioned and not necessarily endorsed wholeheartedly. I can't imagine anyone saying, "DUDE! Go watch Freddie Got Fingered," and being serious about it.

Yeah, I actually really like what he did here. I know that he doesn't agree with a bunch of these already. I just...well...don't like Jeff's movie taste. I think there are many here that don't, haha.

Some of them certainly seem to be films that fall into the category of being considered "so bad they're good". In regards to "Freddy Got Fingered", Jeff mentioned he owned a copy on the bombcast when making his huge media server thing and one of his twitters said something about waking up and thinking of a scene from the movie. Based on that information, he endorses it in some way. This isn't necessarily an "All-Time Favorites List" (though Dave talks a lot about movies on his twitter feed, often regarding favorites), just a list of films they've seen and liked in some sense.

Well, if we're going to get on the who's seen what bandwagon, here's my list that I've seen off of that list (italicizing the ones that were worthwhile):

Back to the Future, Blade Runner, The Brave Little ToasterDie Hard, Die Hard 2, Die Hard With a VengeanceGhostbusters, Harry Potter Franchise, HeathersLethal WeaponLethal Weapon 2, The Matrix, Million Dollar BabyPee-Wee’s Big AdventureRevenge of the NerdsRoundersSpiderman 2Stripes, Up, Wanted (not sure if I like the movie or the comic better), Who Killed Roger Rabbit?, Zodiac

What I want to see (italicizing the ones I'll probably see):

Being There, Boogie Nights, The Bourne Identity, Children of Men, Crank, District 9, Fast and Furious, The Fifth ElementGoodfellas, The Hangover, Inglourious Basterds, Knowing,  Moon, Mulholland Drive, Network, Oldboy, Predator, The Rock, Roxanne, Spartan, Synecdoche, New York, The Ten, The Terminator, The Thomas Crown Affair, They Live, Total Recall, Visioneers, Watership Down (I'm torn on this one seeing as it somehow looks deep, but that's also the reason for probably never seeing it), The WrestlerZardoz

Also, dudes, someone on the staff better say they like the Producers, and I mean the original one. That thing is gold.

@raidingkvatch: No, you're absolutely right. Jeff made an odd Blue Velvet joke at some point, and he must have been a David Lynch fan at some point as he enjoyed Twin Peaks so its possible he was a fan of that film. That joke is the only evidence I have supporting that theory though so I thought I'd include it.

UPDATE: Just received an e-mail in response to the list from someone at Giantbomb (it doesn't say who but if I had to guess, I'd say Ryan). Short and sweet, but here it is.

" That list is disturbingly spot-on. I guess I never realized how much we talk about movies on our god-damn video game podcast."

Oh, and I've seen 63 of these movies. That is counting the Harry Potter and Final Destination entries as one each, not every film in said franchise.
