Game of the year Bomcast

Did you either see the game of the year first or listen to the goty podcast first? I listened to the podcast first and kept my finger away from the GOTY page until it had finished, I didn't want to be listening having already had the answer spoilt.

That podcast totally shot any chance of me playing MGS4 to hell. The whole story is ruined, although it would have been a bit hard to talk about it and not spoil it.

I have merely seen the overall Game of the year (GTA IV) page before the podcast

I am currently about half way through the podcast and was avoiding the GOTY page until I'd finished listening to the podcast, but reading this thread has spoiled it because someone *cough*daniel beck*cough* said it without putting a spoiler warning in!!!!!!!

GB totally rocked with GoTY awards. The awards they gave out were great and the whole decision podcast was fantastic. I mean, I was a little surprised they picked GTA4 and the podcast really explained why they chose it to the point where: I would probably make GTA4 the best game of the year without even playing it.

I listened to 45mins of podcast first then fell asleep then listened to another hour and a half of it then played Left 4 Dead then listened to the entire thing the next day and man was it boring. I felt there was almost no point of Vinny or Brad comming up with a choice because I felt it had to come down to Jeff's pick in the end regardless.

Hearing the discussion about how it was chosen was really interesting to me.

I saw the Game of the Year winner before I listened to the Bombcast.

The GotY Bombcast made me tempted to listen to Spoiler Snakecast since I still haven't played MGS4 and I'm not fully aware of what really happens. I still haven't listened to it yet for some reason. I seem to have avoided MGS4 spoilers with even trying. The stuff they gave away in the GotY Bombcast is the most I've learned about the MGS4 story so far and it's still hazy. I do want to know what happens but I'll keep waiting I guess...I'll see how long it lasts.
