@ghostiet: That's probably why after using it as a scratch track for so long, it felt weird to think of hearing it with a clean recording.

#52 Posted by clintlandon (69 posts) -

I'm so glad people are noticing the Cobra knife. That was a nod added in just for Jeff.

#53 Posted by bemusedchunk (822 posts) -

jeff saying "we're going to go to war" needs to be my ringtone...

Its like a cross between the Ricky gervais show and tom goes to the mayor (well, the visuals remind of tgttm, except the characters are blue and white in that).

Anyway, nice job. If they had the time/budget animating the podcast would be kind of neat

I can't even imagine how much effort it would take to animate a 3 hour podcast. It would be awesome to see someone attempt that though.

Or a bunch of people. If everyone did like 5 minutes each and spliced it all together it would be awesome.

#61 Posted by BD_Mr_Bubbles (1834 posts) -

This is just awesome.

#62 Posted by ch3burashka (5526 posts) -

Huh.

I assume most of that was traced, but great job anyway - nice choice of filter.

FANTASTIC

#64 Posted by clintlandon (69 posts) -

@evo: believe it or not, this 55 second took a week of all of my free time (which I admittedly have too much). I'm sure I'll streamline it over time, but even five minutes per would take a while. That said, I'd love to see it happen just to be crazy.

#65 Posted by JBird (568 posts) -

You are clearly very talented! Great stuff, the gb community is fantastic for stuff like this!

#66 Posted by Ravenlight (8057 posts) -

@clintlandon:

Digging the art style and minimalist animation. Your stuff rocks!

As soon as I heard this on the bombcast, I wanted an animated version. And you delivered. Merry Christmas to me!

Love it!!

#75 Posted by posaune79100 (5 posts) -

Yeah, cat Jeff (with those crazy eyes) is super great.

I also want to compliment you on Vinny's expression at around 7 seconds when he says "Hm." It's super great, too!

@clintlandon: Hah! Brilliant work, sir!

I loved it, but I'm still trying to figure out how you brought that footage back from the 1920s in such good quality. Was is recorded on wax?

#86 Posted by Paindamnation (836 posts) -

If Home Movies and King of the Hill had a baby, this would it, in animation form.

Dat giant ass mic.

Almost made me throw up.

You need a huge mic when you're droppin' the bombcast every week.

So good. Can't stop watching it!

THAT'S what it reminds me of. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but it totally does remind me of Tom Goes to the Mayor.

For me this was strongly evocative of older SNL's TV Funhouse and their Fun With Real Audio segments.

#94 Posted by Shambala (12 posts) -

Really loved this. Good on you for seeing how much use you could get out of a single piece of technology. Well done all around.
