I haven't listened to the new Bombcast yet, but I'm pretty sure the guy on the promo image is Roy Underhill from The Woodright's Shop. I use to watch that show all the time with my family(it's still going, I believe). Woodworking looks so satisfying...

The one where he makes the little box out of the wood grown around a quarter? Fantastic.

Wooworking can be incredibly satisfying. My Dad did custom woodworking and I used to work with him during summers. Too many people have no idea how to actually create something in a physical space, retail jobs just can't compare.

My Dad built cabinets and furniture when I was younger. I grew up watching these shows with him on PBS... man, this takes me back!

I definitely think it'd be cool to get into woodworking at some point. The ability to make something useful for yourself or your family is a really appealing idea.
