But that's not a 2010 release unless he's talking about Cataclysm.

No it can't, because whatever game was on that list came out in 2010.

"Why don't you put the world in a bottle, Superman?"

Based on the nice enhancements adoggz and Lolimoto made of that note, I'd guess the visible text inside the note is:

"[?] World of
[character] this answer
what was [a famously/of hourly/a fabulously]
[?] this year."

Guesses or extremely uncertain words in brackets. I'm going to guess it's either a tiebreaker trivia question, or an argument that because WoW: Cataclysm contains the most hours of enjoyment of gameplay, it (or another game with the most hours of gameplay enjoyment) should win. I think the whole "not Limbo" mention on the podcast was a joke, even if the guys managed to read through the note to see parts of the inside message.

If it's Minecraft it will totally work.

@TomA:   Well, if it's a game sure, but I imagined it was some kind of "magic" phrase that would help them come up with an answer.  But my brain is weird.

After much studying, I can only make out what you made out from the note. Though, I think that one word is fabulously.

@Toxin066: I think it's obviously. Sure, the b looks kinda weird, but there is an i in there.

It's kind of like the end of Cast-Away.  WHAT WAS IN THE PACKAGE?!

#67 Posted by Winternet (8025 posts) -

We must keep investigating. Who knows, maybe the truth about G-Man is in there.

#68 Posted by EvilTwin (3324 posts) -

The note contained the truth...Mass Effect 2 never existed.

Listen to the commentary on the DVD for what Zemeckis thought was in there.

Hey, guys... I know that this thread is 3 years old, I know this.

But am I the only one who gets some Merzbow-esque, harsh noise coming through my speakers on the first page?

#80 Edited by 49th (2783 posts) -

@planetfunksquad: Nope, it scared the shit out of me.

It appears to be coming from that flashing "gif". I think it's a flash thing.

#81 Posted by planetfunksquad (463 posts) -

@49th: Yeh... So, like, what the fuck?

MY TOES CURLED AND MY PALMS ARE SWEATING NOW.

That gave me the worst feeling of discomfort ever.

GIFS CAN MAKE HORRIBLE NOISES NOW? Worst bump of the year 1/10 .

#84 Posted by planetfunksquad (463 posts) -

@zolroyce: I regret nothing. Now you all know my pain.

I'm surprised screamer gifs are even allowed on these forums. They certainly shouldn't be. That scared the shit out of me. I didn't even know what was happening until I actually scrolled down.

It's times like these that I am thankful for my slow internet. (I opened the first page initially, before clicking onto this one. It never loaded in time.)
