I was wondering that if one of the guys was to leave the site ( to develop or do something non game related) who would it be? Or do you think that the only way someone would leave would be that the entire site closed down? Of course none of this will ever happen and our children will be enjoying cyborg GiantBomb in 1000 years time.
The guys are such a tight group it's kind of hard to imagine the bombcast with any of them missing. What do you think, GiantBomunity?
So, who leaves first?
I don't see anybody leaving in the near future unless they were fired. They're smart, they know they have a relatively secure job in this economy, and CA isn't really the cheapest place to live, even in North Bay. But I would say Sara. She's got her sights set on law school, just finished her degree...I can see this being a fun thing for her to do before finding a real job where she dresses to kill, and succeeds.
They all will at once, in the sense that a Bombcast somewhere down the line will be so divisive that it just devolves into a mexican standoff and they all take each other out simultaneously. Drew, stalwart supporter that he is, will still edit and post it on the site.
If you have like the best job in the world why the fuck would you leave it unless you got like fired.
I've tried to think about this in the past, but then my brain shuts down. I'm not good with change.
I'm only just coming to terms with them moving office.
I get the feeling Vinny may pick up some job working on a bigger game or movie somewhere down the line. Ryan and Jeff will never leave, and if they hire a bunch of idiotic people, I can only imagine how much they would ridicule and mock them. Brad will probably inherit the business after the inevitable. Dave will keep bouncing around Whiskey Media's offices for a little while. Drew will disappear for a year, then come back awarded with the medal of honor. Matt Kessler will, in fact, turn out to be Kessler, from the inFAMOUS franchise, come back from the future to plot and initiate his dismantling of Brad's soon-to-be empire.
The big four won't ever leave. They don't work for Giantbomb, they actually own it. Not entirely, they are funded by a certain CNET founder, but each one of them have a certain percent of profit sharing. As long as the site is making money and be growing they financially are bound to the site. With that being said, they have all stated that they are not beyond selling the website if the price was right. You never know, but what you do know is that Jeff, Vinny, B-Rad, and Ryan will be around until the end.
" @Mariek430 said:What if he went to Russia?Dave cant survive on his own, this is the only place that will accept his love for weird russian games. "" Probably Dave. those PC guys cant be trusted. "
Matt Kessler. He was asking some stupid questions in the recent TNT, pissing off the others especially Ryan
" Dave is fully entrenched in the entire Whiskey Media family, he's not going anywhere. I would say notshitty Brad seems like he would leave first just based on his general lack of enthusiasm. "
" By a mile Ryan. He has such a huge personality that he could host any type of show and he would make it entertaining. "he's the Patton Oswalt of gaming journalism. Although he doesn't have that much inner hate for himself...
While I don't want or see any of them leaving(at least anytime soon), if I had to pick one of them I would go with Vinny. He's married now and might want to start a family soon. While his job right now is incredibly awesome, he is the kind of guy that would put family before work 100 times out of 100.
Hopefully none of them leave for a while. I want to see Giant Bomb as it is right now cover the next launch of consoles.

Turn around a moment. I want to stab you in the back.

If it had to be anyone I'd prefer it to be Ryan. To be honest though I think Vinny would be the first to go since his skills translate most easily to other careers and he seems like the most likely of the 4 to become a family man any time soon.
Really, you think? I've always thought he seems like he's extremely interested in video games. Maybe not as outspoken as the other guys, but he definitely strikes me as the kind of guy who contemplates games on a deeper level and is genuinely passionate about them." Brad. Out of them, he seems the least interested in video games. "
Vinny, to me, seems like he's the least interested. Which makes sense since that's not his main role on the site.
