So I was listening to the 10-28-08 Bombcast and at the end is a very catchy, my style of music, song about the show. I really am quite addicted to the song because it is just so flippin catchy. Can anyone point me to an MP3 of this song, or does one even exist? Much appreciated, and very well done on the song if Evan Brass is listening (reading).
The Giant Bomb Song
Yes, it does indeed exist. You can find the MP3 right here.
There is a link to it in the news article Ryan posted a when they first received it.
" Thanks for all the help. Now I want to see the mock sitcom opening that should go along with this song. If Vinny can put rockets on a mans legs, this should be no problem. "
" Can I just say this...I really do love Giant Bomb. This is by far the best video game community on the entire inter-webs. "Hellz yea, POWER TO DA PEOPLE!

We had to suffer through some bullshit early on, and most of the users were GameSpot users who came in to annoy the hell out of us, but now that the site's been up for a year, the annoying people have been filtered out.
For the most part...

Also, I realized I've never listened to the whole song before...so that "like a radical Shi'ite" line was something new to me. = D

" I'd love to buy this on Rock Band Network! Anyone else down? "I would be, "fo sho!" But doesn't Evan Brass himself have to make that happen? How does that work? Esplain... "
You are right. it is up to Evan Brass.
But since you asked about how it works here is my understanding:
- the artist gives his master tracks to a developer to covert them into the Rock Band format (or does it himself)
- the track is put up for peer review like on the XNA
- when the track gets past peer review it goes on the RBN and the artist gets a 30% cut of all sales
- if it sells well it might end up on the normal Rock Band store and be available to PSN and Wii users
From what I gather Mr. Brass is pretty casual and probably doesn’t have the kind of following to justify a RBN release.
However I would still like to play it and I think it’s a fun son
