I think I'd prefer an New York strip over either, big steak, not so much fat.
Any piece of steak that doesn't have a glob of fat and crap around it is great.

Say what?
If I had to choose between the two, Prime Rib. But I'd rather just have a New York Strip because it's lean without being offensively tiny.

I plan on living a long life. Unlike you.
I was just kidding with you. Also, being a vegetarian doesn't guarantee a long life.
A good Filet, tasty, the key is that its a non load bearing muscle :).
Like the face.

Just have fun with your cancer, heart defects and fat asses if you make it to 70.
JUST KIDDING, lol. I do it to stray away the heritable defects that I could potentially get from my parents and it also reduces the risk of many of my family's illnesses.
I once ordered a prime rib that ended up being half fat, it looked revolting. Since then, it's been straight filet mignon (between those 2 choices, anyways).

How does robbing yourself of nutrients equal living a long life?

Surely a short life full of flavour is far greater than a long life where every decision is based on "what will make me live longer?"
Quality>Quantity
But, uh, I'm not a big fan of steak. Unless it's gammon steak!
Gimme a giant slab of prime rib, some au jus, and maybe a little horseradish.
There are more than two cuts of steak, you know. This poll's pretty incomplete.
Personally I like the flank, or as I know it, the bavette. Not overly thick, and I get the best stuff, so it's all marbled with the fat evenly distributed amongst the meat, so it cooks into the meat like butter. You just have the perfect flavor with every bite.
I also love it's next door neighbor, the hanger steak. I don't have it very often but goddamn it's good. Kinda tough, but good.

@Dany: You know there's no actual proof vegetarians life longer, right? And who wants to live forever, if that forever doesn't include bacon. Fucked logic is fucked.
Exactly. A life without excess isn't a life worth living. It's not about surviving the longest it's about making the most of the time you do have. And I like to eat bacon topped hamburgers, so I'm gonna spend a lot of time doing that.
@Dany: HARVEST IS MURDER!!!
On topic. Big and meaty. Lots of fat! No puny little filets for me. I need a full belly to continue hunting and catching great white sharks with my hairy chest and bare hands.
Filet Mingnon is fine if you give me 4 of them, otherwise I'll go for a bigger cut like a good Rib-eye, scotch, rump, or tbone.
@Dany: "Ooops it turns out being smug about my diet didn't guarantee me a long life, bummer."
- Internet poster "Dany" on his deathbead
@Dany: Yes in 2018 a Harvard Medicine study will deduce that being smug about what you eat increases the chance of being fatally stabbed by 36%. Eating a roast beef sandwich has a negligible effect.

Being a vegetarian won't make you live longer. Eating meat is perfectly fine, it is in our nature. However eating processed crap is what kills you. The two don't go hand and hand.
Also have fun being 90 and shitting yourself. Seriously, i'll be happy to live to about 80 and call it quits.
So I'm not really that crazy about steak, but fatty steak sounds horrible to me. I'd take a filet no question.

I hate quoting posts made 2 seconds ago but this is basically my answer. Beef in general is much too fatty for me. I'd rather some a good slab of pork.
That's what she said.
Just so @Ravenlight can't do it >:)
I don't really get the "I want a big piece of meat" argument, just get 2 Filet Mignon. Or better yet, get a whole filet and roast it instead of grilling/frying portion-sizes. Then you can have as much as you want =) Although as others have said I'd much rather prefer sirloin.
