June 4th, bombcast, a few minutes in, they're talking about loading stuff on the truck to go to E3

Jeff Gerstmann, "my mom asked what would happen if we crashed the truck, or it got stolen"

Brad, "Is that a heist, or straight up caper?"

Ryan, "that's a straight up robbery."

Then Vinny muses on hiring cat burglars to steal their shit so they wouldn't have to go to E3.

CONSPIRACY?

Why would Vinny hire them to rob their stuff after they got to E3?

Why would Vinny hire them to rob their stuff after they got to E3?

To make it look like he hadn't planned it, obviously.

AND to prove a point. From the looks of things the place seemed pretty hard to get into...unless they worked with SOMEONE from the inside who knew EXACTLY where they could find the equipment.

COLLUSION!!!

Seriously, though glad the crew are safe though and what happened was pretty horrible.

@cloudleet: Sometime during the first day at E3, a significant chunk of the Bombsquad's equipment was stolen by hooligans from the studio they were going to record at.

Vinny clearly hired Nolan North and his team of three hot women cat burglars all from the set of Wildcatz!

Only further proving that anyone with a name like Vinny has to be part of organized crime in some way.

How committed would you have to be to a gag to make doing your job more difficult? I don't think anyone would want to do that, but maybe Vinny is a prankster at heart.

There is no way cats could carry that much equipment.

Vinny would have been smarter about it. Stealing it once they got there just meant even more work for him.

I'm guessing Rorie did it.

He -says- he was back at the office all week, but we all know he wanted to go to E3. He stole their equipment for revenge! Not for honor, not for duty, not for love... only revenge.

Punished Rorie, the fallen legend and leader of the Diamond Dogs...

Started listening to this episode last evening. They also recount bad rentals from previous E3s.The foreshadowing in the episode is chilling.

So has anyone mentioned how this happened? Has anyone been caught?

Nah, no new information on that. Even if the LAPD has updated them on the situation, they probably wouldn't able to say anything about it publically if it's still an ongoing investigation.

I actually listened to that podcast a few days after the robbery and thought it was pretty funny.

That makes sense. I wasn't sure if I missed anything because it got buried in the flood of E3 information.

@truthtellah: I admire the amount of work you did or did not put into finding a picture of a dog that looks like Snake with a cigar in his mouth.

Yeah, Vinny saying that was a weird coincidence. This was definitely a time where their corporate overlords saved the Bomb Crew's asses.

haha. Yeah, I put a little too much thought into which dog picture was best. But I suppose that's the sacrifice you make as a Giant Bomb fan.

@graboids: You know I do watch a bit of USA programming on occassion, and Wildcatz is a show I would religiously watch.
