I'd say the 9-11-2012 bombcast is the best one because of the Bad Boys and Pizza talk. Also lets not forget the birth of China Don't Care. What do you guys think is the best bombcast?

The next one.

Hard to see past the Johnny V/Adam Boyes one, 10-13-2009.

I really liked the latest one. It was a really great tribute to Brad for all his contributions to the site, and to his future ventures elsewhere. You will be missed.

I really like the Groundhog Day 2010 cast, for all the talk of Bryan Doyle-Murphy. Brother of famous comic actor Bill Murphy.

Plus the first reactions to Mass Effect 2, the best game made in the last 7 years.

All of them.

Some of my favorites are the E3 ones, the GOTY ones where it gets really tense and they say how the best games of that year actually suck, and moments from the other ones which cause me to just laugh out almost in tears.

Swedish candy. Hey, anyone want to send me some Hockey Pulver (I'll pay for it and the postage - I have this... curious curiosity... to try it)?

#11 Posted by Kinapuff (244 posts) -

@oldguy: There's actually like three different types of hockey powder. Sure you wouldn't want some Turkisk peber and Djungelvrål in there as well?

Add in the GOTY casts and we've got winners.

This guy's cracked it.

Specifically though, the bombcast is pretty consistent. Seems to be better when they're not talking about Games, for some reason. Either when they're not or when they get real fucking in depth on games, something Patrick has brought to the table recently which makes me very happy. A lot of the more simple qualitative what have people been playing segments are the worst bits. It's why the GOTY podcasts can be both the best and the worst casts to listen to, because sometimes they get really in depth and listen to everyone's arguments and it's this excellent debate where the winner doesn't even matter, or it's 45 minutes of the same thing being said over and over about Minerva's Den and Shadow Broker.

The only legitimate answer to this question is the do-over episode from 12-09-2008, in which a full 2 hours of podcast was lost and the crew returned to re-record it, Vinny recalls old jokes that only 3 other people get and Jeff speaks about mission based boating. There's a slalom related guest appearance, a talking robot, it's just the best ever.

I can agree with that.

I couldn't even tell you. It's not usually about the episode per se, but rather the moments within those episodes that are the things to remember and those moments are far too numerous to list.

I really enjoy the 5-08-2012 episode. Adam Sessler, E3 mysteries, the old Gamespot TV stuff; it's one of my favorites.

Yup, this. Though when it comes to some of my favourite bombcast moments, their Transformer movies talk, drunk Michael Ironside impressions, Duke Nukem impressions during the DNF talk, and the Marcus Fenix impressions--I'm seeing a pattern here--often spring to mind first. Oh, and I remember really enjoying their talk about Assassin's Creed being set in Jerusalem during the time of Jesus.

All of the user-made animated bombcast excerpts are pure gold too.

The 2011 post Superbowl cast is one of my favourites. I think it's 02-08-11.

I think the Bombcast as a whole is the best one.

Is that good for a non-answer?

Also, if anyone could help me, I'm trying to remember the Bombcast episode where Johnny V tells the story of how he was hired at Midway, but I can't find it/don't remember much else. I don't believe it's in his first episode either.

Yea I've noticed this too.

That one where all they did was read emails at the end of 2010 right before the game of the year cast. Also the California Extreme/ Narc one/

The UVB76 one, Vinny gets his HAM credentials, Ryan gets a hummingbird mask. Then the one late last year of Chris with the white car. Also, anything Jared Rae. Whichever one led to the NASCAR and SSF4 Arcade Edition talk beset by Hot97 ads.

I liked the episode where they talked about fighting racoons in a bag.
