What is your favourite Bombcast segment of all time?
The first 20 minutes always has the most potential to be hilarious. I can't remember the date, but one time they talked about a Pokemon tournament where the 2nd place guy became first because the current leader was disqualified for throwing poop in the hotel. That conversation degraded quickly, and it was gold.
I was laughing so hard I had to pull over.
I miss the Wii/DSiWare rundowns so much. Yes they were long, and sometimes the comedy was a bit of a stretch. But it also was responsible for some of the funniest bits ever, far more consistently than it had any right to be.

I almost died laughing once while I was shoveling snow off my car, listening to Jeff read the WiiWare/DSiWare releases in slow motion. Breathing was hard enough due to the cold but added laughter with no end in sight was scary :D
Scary good.
That said, I chose "ketchup talk" ... how else would I learn how to make tortillas?
"News of the World."
"E...emails."
"No, Brad. Not emails. News."
I like News for the guys' opinions on silly things that developers, publishers or the platform holders have done in the past week. The stories often inspire doom and gloom discussions regarding the the future of certain aspects of gaming. I love dire forecasts and speculation on subjects such as MMOs, DLC, microtransactions, DRM and online services to name a few. I will often rewind a heated discussion of a juicy news item five times over, sometimes I just can't get enough.
To give a more specific example, my favourite segment was when Duke Nukem Forever was finally released, and we got to hear Jeff give his Duke impression for a good portion of the podcast, and they talked about how extremely dated the whole idea was, and talked about alternate endings it should've had where Duke decides to commit suicide because no one likes his horrible misogynist personality anymore.
Nintendo download descriptions were always great and included my favorite bombcast moment of all time. I wish they'd bring it back!
funny i was just going to post this thread - only more open ended
there are so...so many for me - I've been listening since the day Jeff was let go from Gamespot.
the beverage taste tests were always great but the one that stays with me to this day is alex conniving ryan into drinking some god awful energy drink which ryan then begins choking on and starts calling alex all manner of foul names while alex calmly explains the roller coaster high and crash that ryan will soon experience. Priceless.
more generally though, I just love listening to these guys shoot the bull. From listening to many other podcasts, I can't imagine how hard it is to make that all come off sounding that polished and well rehearsed but these guys are clearly just winging it and that's why it's so great.
The pokemon poop scandal is still the funniest goddamn riff I've ever heard from Giant Bomb. I was crying from laughter.
The start of the most recent one had my nearly in tears. Jeff's "Brad" impression recently as well. There has been a lot of funny times, it's usually them just talking about non game related stuff though.
AGREED!! Was listening to this biking home after a 12 hour night shift and was in stitches all the way home. Must have look like a nutter to any passers by.The pokemon poop scandal is still the funniest goddamn riff I've ever heard from Giant Bomb. I was crying from laughter.
I can't pick a favourite because I like most of the segments a lot so I'll say my least favourite (yet still fine in the grand scheme of things) is new releases, but it's so short and the rest of the show is so good I can hardly complain!
Out of those segments, the "catchup part" is always entertaining. Even though it's not technically related to the question, I just want to say that the "Ryan's A Narc!" bit is on par with the "Haze" HotSpot bit for funniest podcast moment of all time.

If they did an all emails show every week, I would be a happy man.
Talking information about watcha been playing is fine, if you want to talk about video games, but it has the least laughs.
Jar time is pretty much that though. Not super frequent, but it does tend to include interesting questions and answers that tend to go all the way down any rabbit holes that appear.
