Okay, so maybe this question was asked deeper in the forum, but I didn't see it. If someone does have an answer to link me to, that'd be useful too. But seriously! Danswers was a really fun podcast. I hope it comes back!
Whatever happened to Danswers?
@gregorygold: well no, if you don't like it ignore it, there are plenty of people that really like it.
@darth-malum: Prove it! ;)
I bet that there will be another danswers. Almost as much as I bet there will not be another Box Office Bomb.
I think Dan was just trying to get Norm MacDonald to appear on Danswers, so they're probably gonna record one soon. It hasn't really been that long.

All of the questions have been answered
Ahem... the word you're looking for is "danswered". hueh hueh hueh
@bisonhero: Probably the same place as Blight Club.
@bisonhero: It would be cool if they could stick with that because they always just do the start of D&D (which is the worst part). This is where Austin would be handy I think (frankly I think Rorie is a poor GM, especially for the guys that are playing).
I'm expecting them to do one with that F1 board game though considering Danny and Drew both are so into the sport.
I didn't realize asking a question about a podcast that's been away for awhile and remarking that I enjoyed it is bugging out. I do understand that this is a busy time of year and there are a lot of events going on and games coming out. I just thought maybe something specific was said by other Dan or Danny about a time-frame and maybe I missed it, but since the first reply to this thread wasn't a link to a tweet, forum post, or news story, it's apparent that nothing has been said about it as of yet. That's all I needed to know.
Mods, you can close and delete if you'd like.
Out of all the podcasts, DAnswers that would be one I could do without. I get my Danny fix from Alt F1.
@j12088: As much as I like Dan's crazy personality and think he's a great addition to the team because of it, I have to agree with you that Danswers was pretty awful most of the time. Not very funny, bad guests (aside from the staff guests who are not bad in general but bad for the Danswers format), but mostly, the questions asked were are terrible and ridiculous.
It seems to have been either that one of the Dans was simply terrible at picking interesting questions to answer (whomever it was picking them), or that practically all of the questions being asked were from, sorry to say it harshly, but completely out-of-touch, basement-dwelling morons. On top of that, the "danswers" given to the questions were always face-value, obvious, common sense, and "easier said than done" type of BS that neither Dan is really suited to answer.
The way to make the podcast actually interesting would be to give an actual "Ryckert-like" answer to them that was funny or silly (with O'Dwyer there as a more down-to-earth counterpoint/host), and pick more interesting, funny, and varied questions.

Wait, what was Blight Club?
Also, remember cross-coast Quick Looks, which they did exactly once after doing all the legwork to get it synced up? That was cool, and I legit miss that.
The No Go Show was an interesting idea, but seems like it uses up more video production time than it is worth, since it already exists to explain why they didn't have time or interest for certain games.
@bisonhero: Blight Club was the proposed Alex Navarro premium feature that would involve him playing the most "bottom of the barrel" games possible for our amusement. He played some of that Blackwater game during the last Big Live Live Show (Live!) but it hasn't been followed up since. I'm not gonna complain too much given the current (high) quality of GBEAST's live content but man does it sound like a good idea.
I have no problem if Danswers is put on hold until interesting guests are available. Without any insightful and learned guests to provide some new input, Dan and Danny will just fall back to "better communication" or "you should really seek professional help from somebody that isn't us". I wonder what happened to that ex-pornstar who was supposedly going to be a guest.
I think Blight Club was a planned feature where GBeast would talk about bad games. It was mentioned in the BLLSL, right around the time they were playing Blackwater.

Yeah that's how it sort of ended up for me too. Earlier on it was more about Danny and Dan just discussing their own lives and views which I enjoyed, but as their main topics got covered well enough every episode became a rehash of fairly generic, uninteresting questions. There were some gems of insight hidden in there, but mostly I felt that everything just came back to depression, relationships, or not knowing what they're doing with their life. And that's not really their fault - in the end those are the issues most people are dealing with most of the time, but I just didn't need to hear similar questions reworded over and over. I know Danny tried to avoid this with his question selection but it's kind of inevitable: most people have fairly "simple" problems, especially when a large part of your audience is on the younger side.
I'd actually just prefer it if it was refocused around talking about the various aspects of life with guests as they had while removing the listener questions entirely, or limiting them way more heavily to like one per episode.

I really like the staff profiles though. I was really happy to hear more about Jason's life.
The only content on Giant Bomb today that actually has a schedule that they commit to releasing is the Bombcast/Beastcast, UPF, and sort of MGScanlon. Everything else on the site could either be an active or inactive series at any given time, no guarantees.
I'm happy that they completed the entire Breaking Bradborne series though.
I love Danswers, but bring back a new Film and 40s soon, guys! Although I do think that won't be for a while given the full production schedule with Metal Gear Scanlon 5: The Phantom Dain

I mostly agree with this.
as for some of the comments here: answering questions from teens thinking the world will end is the best part about this kinda shows.
I do agree though that often the dans take even the high school questions too seriously. for an example of answering those questions right listen to "if I were you" the only podcast id put up there with bombcast for amount of laughs
I still like the show a lot but understand if its not everyones bag.
This website has too many features.
When's the next Ranking of Fighters?
When's the next Demo Derby?
When's the next Encyclopedia Bombastica?
When's the next Endurance Run?
I'm on my way to record the Danswers podcast with good guys @dannyodwyer and @DanRyckert! :D! Do you have questions??? I can help! :D!
