Who is your dream Bombcast Guest?

Mine is easily Paul F. Tompkins. The guy is an excellent comedian and improv actor plus he loves video games. He also seems reasonable attainable since he seems to pop up as a guest on the most random podcast and does quite a few shows every year in the Bay area.

I also got a dream guest for the Beastcast and that would be the McElroy brothers of My Brother, My Brother, and Me and The Adventure Zone podcast fame. Plus two out of the three brothers work for Polygon so they know their video game shit. So who are your dream guest?

West Coast Choice: I'd love for John Drake to be on. There have been a bunch of stories between Dan and him that have been hinted at so I'd like to find out about them.

Ice-T, John Drake, and I realize it's already happened (this week, in fact), but I love when they take a trip to the Lang Zone.

Andrew Reiner or Andy McNamara (the top two Game Informer editors). For two reasons:

A) Decades of experience in the industry, and a different perspective being mainly print for so long. Heard Reiner discuss review scores before, and he's just a really smart, well-informed dude. Andy Mac is more elusive these days but he could talk for hours.

B) The history with Dan and Jason could lead to some fun and awkward discussions.

Kumail Nanjiani, Swery65, Ice T. I think alot of the dream guests would be better as straight up interviews for the GB Presents feed. I would love for Austin to interview Phil Fish, I feel like it would be alot like when Marc Maron interviewed Gallagher.

I think my dream guest is Jim Sterling. I mean Jim Sterling wearing his professional boy pants and spending three hours having really insightful discussion.

The problem so often is when the Giant Bombcast has guest it is often at e3 or PAX when everyone is drunk, confused, and rushed. I'd like to have Jim Sterling or Kyle Bossman sober to discussing a major topic. For instances there is a 99% chances Nintendo will show off NX in February or March in a major presentation, so I'd love to have a GREAT guest to be in the room for that after conference discussion.

AS A SIDE NOTE: I really hope e3 2016 has less guests and less drinking. Discussion at GB "nest" at e3 at night turn into shit shows where nothing gets discussed because ist too confusing and some great guest are swept away to be replaced by drunken idiots. I think less guest for the first two night and have everyone stone cold sober. Last night - a bacchanal- with tons of guest and mild drinking.

Charlie Brooker? All the best Bombcast guests tend to be people that the guys already know and get on with though, so you have to consider that. As @maluvin: said, Lorne Lanning would be good, I loved him during the E3 shows.

@bartok: I'm with you on this one. And to think that they were at the same place at the same time at the LA Podfest!

Valve is not a publicly traded company with shareholders to answer to. Gabe Newell can probably say whatever he likes. He's certainly had no qualms about talking shit about Microsoft/Windows in the past.
