I think at least timestamps for the core segments (news, emails, etc.) isn't too much to ask.
Why not upload the Bombcast in segments?
No. Deal with it. I listen late at night too, I just find where I was, and re-listen to a few minutes of it. no big deal.
Sleep timer in the clock on my iPhone does the trick. I think iPods have this function too. I'm sure most modern devices do. Average person takes about 15 minutes to fall asleep, so there's your solution. I remember how crazy upset everyone got about the possibility of the podcast being split up like that. It would be a crazy hassel if they did it for everyone involved.

@rebgav: Its just crazy long for a podcast about video games. 3 and a half hours lately is just crazy.
It's not about video games anymore, man. It's about life.
I don't know how SoundCloud works exactly but I have seen people can make comments at the exact point where something interesting happens on the sound file. Maybe the could use that service and the users could make the "checkpoints" for the different sections and maybe warn of possible spoilers.
He is a sample of what I'm trying to say about SoundCloud.
The fact that searching for a section you remember is somehow more work than segmenting or even writing a timestamp guide is pretty ridiculous. It takes no time at all.
Also, the fact that it's gotten nearly 3 hours is plain awesome. As someone listening to it at work, it could be 8 hours for all I care.
