I just love hearing their conversations. I like that only about a third is video games and the rest consists of the McRib, Molyneux Balls, and night vision goggles.

my biggest concern with most gaming podcasts is that they are all too SHORT. i want a good chunk of time to listen to all the shit i care about. i want to listen to a 'cast a day. like when im getting ready for work, on my way to work, on my lunch break, on my way home. kinda thing. =) so dont trip. you dont have to listen to the bombcast all in one go.

I also love it as it is. Sure, the off-topic discussions can take up a long time and go into complete randomness, but I don't care, it's hilarious and entertaining and makes me want to listen to more. If I wanted a VIDEO GAMES ARE FOR SERIOUS podcast, I wouldn't be listening to the Bombcast. The bombcast is great because of the people, the conversation, AND the video game journalism. Frankly, I'd be bored to death if it was one-sided to the journalism.

I like the length of the bombcast, my only issue with it is that I tend to have difficulty pausing it to go to sleep.

I actually just caught up from late July bombcasts to modern ones. I had fallen behind and, over a day off, played some Forza 2, some Plants vs. Zombies, and listened to 4-5 bombcasts. Also, I'm sure if I listen really hard Ryan will give me the answer to the Economics homework I do during load screens. =P

Two hours is fine. You don't have to listen to it all at once. Just throw it on in the car or when going to bed. The longer it is, the more stuff there is to enjoy. Sure, sometimes they talk for a while about things I don't care about, but at the same time that format means they spend a while talking about things I do care about.

The unedited and off-the-cuffness of it is what makes it so much more fun than some rigid, through-the-motions podcast.

Same situation. I'm a truckdriver. I listen to the Bombcast and many many hours of other podcasts. I personally would love it if the Bombcast was LONGER! This isn't the first time I've seen someone complain that the Bombcast is too long. Thank heavens the vast majority of us like the length... that's what she said... HEY OH!!!

Between my long-ass commute and work I listen to ~8 hours of podcasts each weekday so I'd just like to chime in and say that not only do I love having the 2+ hour Bombcasts, I wish they were actually longer.

The Bombcast would be too long if they ONLY talked about video game news. All the random conversations and emails make the Bombcast a perfect length. Sometimes i wish it were longer, but that might be asking too much from the duders.
