"coudn't load plugin" for progressive and streaming in player but html5 fine

Player doesn't work for me in if I try and use progressive or streaming, only HTML5 works but it's weirdly slow at buffering all of a sudden. Anyone know what this is?

Turns out my chrome hadn't updated, my own idiocy! works now

There was also the new flash vulnerability found, so browsers may be blocking flash extensions from loading at all (in firefox, it appears in a tiny bar at the top).

But ya, HTML5 should be fine.
