Hello all

My Giant Bomb yearly premium expired on April 29th and I got this bill to renew that thankfully my credit card rejected.

Even though I see the renew rate is $50, so I find this very odd.

Has this happened to anyone?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Migs

Free occulus rift w/every subscription maybe?

Seriously though i might alert your bank and also change your GB password, possible malicious activity.

@migsse: As far as we can see in our credit card processor, we only attempted to bill you for $49.95 on that card, which was declined. It looks like it's displaying the charge for you in South African rand as your IP has been detected to be from South Africa. Are you from there or possibly using a VPN that might be bouncing from there?

@migsse: That is very strange, you may want to contact your bank. According to our billing system we sent a request for $49.95 which was declined. According to everything on our end we only charged that amount. I don't know where that number came from, maybe there's a currency conversion problem with the bank, are you outside the US?

Here is a screenshot from our billing system showing we only charged $49.95:

Did some more digging, looks like Rorie is on to something. That notification appears to be showing you the value in South African Rand which seems to match up after conversion:

@rorie I am indeed hailing from South Africa.

From @wcarle investigation, it looks like the amount error is on the credit card division side, using the South African amount and replacing the R to a $ symbol.

Thanks for the info guys, also lucky it did'nt go through at all.

Going to renew with the Sale that is going on.

Thanks for clearing things up, much appreciate it!
