Okay, just pushed a fix and made a PR. This should work a little better now and not just outright stop working. It just won't return things it can't find and you'll see what the server returned in the logs if you care to look.

The Plex duders have been pretty good about merging my stuff quickly in the past, so hopefully that'll be the case here too. Once they merge it, if you haven't changed your local files with the modification @evilspectre suggested above, you can get my fixed version by simply updating your plugins. If you've changed the files at all, the simplest thing to do is to uninstall and then re-install the plugin.

Hey duders....running in to a bug in which if I enter an API key, no videos show up. I only get the 'Latest' channel with nothing present inside it. If I remove the API key, it starts working again. Doesn't matter what I enter as an API key, nothing works. Any help is appreciated.

I'm seeing the same thing where when I put in my API key it shows an empty "Latest" folder and when I take it out I get all of the non-subscriber content.

Same thing is happening to me. If I put in an API code I get no content, take the code out the content shows up.

Same here. Basically makes it not usable if I want to watch premium videos from it

same here, no API key, get most vids but no premium/subscriber stuff. go get plex API key and enter it, get ZERO videos. tried adding key and restarting/resetting channel thru plex web interface but same results. bummer....

I can't get any premium content through the Plex Channel. If I remove the key I can access all the free content but as soon as I enter my API Key the channel goes blank.

I'm glad I searched for this thread. I thought the channel was broken completely because I couldn't see any videos. But after reading this I removed the API key and at least I can see 'normal' content now. It's a hell of a lot better than nothing!

Make sure you are using an API key that was generated at the Giant Bomb API page, and NOT the one, that's on your account page.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but is the GB Plex Channel accepting pull requests? It should be a minor change to enable sync, and it'd be a huge boon (at least for me) to have that functionality instead of having to rely on the Video Buddy app.

PEBCAK - I have peerblock enabled on my Plex server, and it was blocking the GB media server. Peerblock had identified it as Sportsline.com. I unblocked 64.30.228.82, and all is well.

The plex app has stopped working for me, for premium content. I am using the API key from /api, when I remove it I can watch non-premium videos, when I have it inputted I get the error "There was a problem playing this item" on all videos, not just premium ones. I have tried reinstalling the plex channel, reinstalling plex, logging out and logging back in, etc, and I cannot find a solution. Please let me know if there is a solution I am missing?

I also have the same issue as above; the Giantbomb Plex channel has stopped working on my Apple TV and iPhone. Extremely annoying!!

The videos open as a black screen for a few seconds then just go back to the menu. No error message.

If anyone's still having issues with the Plex channel and premium content, there was a small bug in the URL service code (it was appending the API key with a '&' instead of a '?', against HTTP conventions).

I have a PR open on the bundle's Github (https://github.com/plexinc-plugins/GiantBomb.bundle/pull/16), but you can pull it directly out of my repo (referenced from the above link) if you want to test it.

These bugs are the WORST. It took two hours of searching until I noticed what had happened.

Just edit the file yourself that @ascagnel has identified in his post above- his link shows the single character that you have to change.

@ascagnel Thank you so much for figuring this out- I watch almost all my GB through Plex, so this is a massive thing for me- I really appreciate it!
