  • Specific Problem: HTML5 videos do not resume playing after being paused for a period of time.

Whenever I pause an HTML5 video for more than a few minutes, it will refuse to resume playing, even though the overlay says it's playing (ie the 'play' icon turns in to a 'paused' icon). However, the timer will not move, the video will not play, no matter how long it sits on 'play' mode. Refreshing the video usually seems to let the video play from it's saved position, give or take a few seconds, but very occasionally it will set the video back by ten or fifteen minutes.

Yup, getting the same issue for a while now with Firefox, too. Thank god for resuming saved position! XD

I'd just like to add that the video will continue to buffer whilst being paused despite the fact that it won't continue playback thereby wasting a fair bit of bandwidth if left long enough.

We have a new video player hopefully releasing next week. Hopefully this will help!
