Inbox Broken

My inbox broke, not the inbox itself, just the envelope thing-y. Whenever I click on it to read a message (for example), it looks like this:

And then when I click on it I get 404'd

Indeed. You can't click on the new message itself, you have to click on 'Inbox' and dig from there.

Also, I STILL have 5 ghost messages in my inbox and I just don't know how to fix it.

Also, chat is broken.

Having the same issue in Firefox and Chrome here. Just to clarify this is what it looks like:

I wasn't having the issue with the PM links 404ing before yesterday, but it seems to stem from the fact that the links just lead to the invalid URL"www.giantbomb.com/pm/detail//". If it's of any relevance I also wasn't seeing the avatars in the drop-down menu again until two or three days ago, just the curly braces.

Chiming in to say I'm having the same issue.

I'm having a slightly different inbox problem, display shows 4 unread messages, but I actually have no messages.

The actual clicking of messages is still broken but will be fixed next time the site is deployed (or so I am told).

I have 2 email notifications since the new site launched and those two emails don't exist. Inbox says its empty.

My inbox claims to have three unread messages in it as well. I cleared it out, but it still says three messages are there.

I've noticed I haven't gotten any notifications neither as PM's nor E-mails whenever someone writes on my wall or replies to my posts on the forums.

I just get a blank page when trying to navigate to my inbox.

I get a 404 on http://www.giantbomb.com/pm/detail//

This is the problem I'm having as well. can't clear them.

For those reporting that the inbox is displaying the wrong number of new messages, there's already at least one other thread made a long time back alerting the staff of this issue. I think the engineers have worked some of their magic though, because the bad link thing is fixed for me now.

@LtSquigs This isn't the same bug, but it is an inbox bug (don't know if it has been handled as of yet, though). My inbox says that I have a bunch of unread PM's, but I actually don't.

The top image is what it looks like from any page on the site. The second image is what it looks like in my inbox (empty)

@bass: This is a known one, we think it has to do with the cache. Thanks for reporting.

I have 27 unread messages that either don't exist or don't show when I click unread messages.
