Bloodborne + witcher video being very, very slow. Have to pause to get a minute loaded up then hit play, then pause.

Tried to download powerbombcast, says it is going to take six hours.

My connection is fine :

I've had no issues playing those videos in HD and my DL/UL rate is much lower than yours.

Weird, it seems to be fixed now. Don't know what was happening there.

I'll occasionally get a large video downloaded to 99.99% and it fails. Sometimes if I pause and unpause I can get by it.

Not too many problems with streaming, however.

Just like to jump in and say I've been getting issues the past few days with watching the video content too, its only playing a few seconds then buffering. My download speed for a GB video is currently almost at 0kbps, but my internet connection is fine.

I'm on 150Mb down, 30Mb up fibre in Ireland too, so maybe there's something up?

Just wanted to post that I'm also in Ireland and have been encountering issues streaming as well. I'm on a much slower connection (1.8Mb), but can usually stream on low quality without issues. But today, I cant get a single video to play properly (unless its available on YouTube.) Downloading a video is also incredibly slow (downloading the latest Metal gear scanlon episode at about 11 KB/s). Using another browser makes no difference.

UPC are the bomb if you are in a decent coverage area. I could get 200mb if i paid an extra ten euro a month but to be honest that would be total overkill.

I'm having a problem too today. I live like 5-6 hours away from their office in San Fran, and I have FIOS. It's always been fine, until just today. It started with the Summerslam video, and now it's happening to UPF. o.o; I hope it stabilizes/fixes itself soon, because youtube is fine, it's just this site. *shrug*

This is probably an issue with a third-party provider, but @edgework said he'd look into it regardless.

If you guys run into this again, please try to view a Gamespot video and see if you're seeing the same behavior.

I'm with upc ireland aswell, but I haven't had any serious issues for a while now. The building a PC stream refused to load while it was live but everything since has been regular, hope it gets sorted for ya.

I have this problem occasionally where none of the podcasts will work, yet video is fine, and when I go to download them they go at a snails pace. It's weird and totally sporadic and certainly isn't my connection... I just put it as 'one of those things' and either let it do it's thing or just wait an hour or so which is usually enough time for the issue to be resolved. Only ever happens to the podcasts from experience.

Hey edgework. I tried playing 2 videos from Gamespot (The Gist and Destiny - Exclusive Content), and encountered the same issue. Also currently can't play the latest mailbag video or the latest inFamous quick look on GB either.

Don't know if it helps, but its currently 11:38PM here, and I was able to stream GB videos without problems during the afternoon.

EDIT: It's 11:47PM here now, and suddenly everything appears to be working again.

Ok, the site and videos were all playing perfectly until about 30 minutes ago (8:30PM or so in Ireland), when my connection speed to the site just plummeted. Buffering every second, if I try and download the latest Metal Gear Scanlon I get a speed of about 300Kbps. My connection speed is fine:

Getting the same buffering with Gamespot videos too. It was fine all day though, only happened in the last short while.

Seems fine to me, and my connection is nowhere near that good (20 Mbps down, 5 Mbps up). Could it be something to with location? 3 people from ireland have complained about it so that seems like an obvious connection.

scratch that, earlier today episode 3 of the mgs series was acting finicky. Seems fine now though

I'm in Ireland also

Just on 8Mb eircom, but videos and downloads were working perfectly fine up until a short time ago

Now occasionally the transfer rate hits the floor

Good luck in finding where in the pipeline the problem lies, it sounds like a doozy to solve

Thanks

I'll just add that I've never experienced any problems with the GB servers (I live in Norway). I'm betting this will be a bitch to solve if it's a problem with a third party.

Been having this exact problem for about a week. 300/30 speed for me and I'm pulling like a few kilobytes from GB sometimes.

Two weeks later and this is still happening. No other site has this issue for me.

(This exact problem happened in like 2009 and it was between Whiskey's Amazon servers and ISPs if I remember correctly)

Can you post some specific URLs I can forward on? It would help the debugging. Thanks. We are dispatching flying monkeys, etc...

It's not terrible tonight, a lot better than the worst it's been, which is as low as 5-10KBps, but still a big drop!

Been having problems for a few weeks here as well (Brazil). I can't watch the high or HD version of any of the site's videos because they quickly become a choppy mess.

I'm now trying to save the GBEast Shadow of Mordor premium video and it's downloading at 30.5 KB/s (Meaning it'll take about 2 days to download it, by contrast I downloaded the actual game which is over 30 Gbs in less than an hour).
