Podcasts Missing Art When Using Credentials in RSS URL

All of the premium podcasts are missing artwork when users input their credentials in the RSS URL, i.e.:

https://username:password@auth.www.giantbomb...

According to the forum post about this very thing:

The XML concerning the artwork path is getting truncated when credentials are used. Is there a specific URL prefix we should use for the premium feeds to avoid this? Or is this an issue with the RSS itself? Either way this is an unfortunate happening; lots of us are missing that fantastic art :)

@bigprimenumbers: Hey there. Trying to get it out for this week, but it might not hit until early next week, if E3 stuff takes precedence. Sorry for the delay.

It does work if you use http instead of https, but you are then sending your password without encryption. If you end up doing that, make sure your Giant Bomb password is unique. Probably best to wait till it gets fixed.

Not to be ungrateful, but while some of the podcasts seem to have their typical artwork (Giant Bomb Presents, Premium Podcasts, etc), the Giant Bombcast (Premium) and the Giant Beastcast (Premium) both have placeholder artwork. Any chance that'll get changed to their respective pieces?

@bigprimenumbers: No problem. And, it's just a matter of me getting ahold of the assets. Have to bug designers to get the album artwork in the right dimensions. I'll be adding the other artwork for https as soon as I can get them. Thanks for the reminder.

@jslack: Hey there! So it looks like the artwork has sort of been updated (at least when using Overcast). Oddly enough, the "now playing" artwork is shown on the home screen when my iPhone is locked (if I'm listening to the Giant Bombcast for instance, I see the proper artwork on the lock screen). When I unlock the phone, open the app, and go to "now playing" it shows the generic artwork. Also when viewing my podcast list, the artwork for the premium podcasts are the generic version, but when a premium podcast is playing, the proper artwork shows up in the "now playing" mini bar. Maybe only some of the different sizes for the artwork were replaced? Am I perhaps using the wrong URL (e.g. https://user:password@www.giantbomb.com/podcast-xml/beastcast-premium/)?

This applies to the premium feeds of The Giant Bombcast, The Giant Beastcast, and Giant Bomb Presents; the Giant Bomb Premium Podcast feed is always correct. As always, thanks!

Sorry to nag but it is confusing when using podcast clients that only show the artwork and not the titles while listing podcasts.

@esslan: Yes, the https and non https are offered in different places. Our static paths that point to s3 do not support https paths.

The reason artwork doesn't show up is that we only added artwork for a couple of things - we don't have a designer to add them anymore.
