When I click a video the player doesn't launch, I just see a screen with "video loading" where the video would usually play

Have had the same issue for 2days now too, not running adblock.

Fortunately i can still watch on my ipad but would like to watch on my pc too.

I'm having the endless loading issue.

EDIT: Okay i managed to get it to work, i can use the "progressive" option but not the HTML5 one, even tho it worked before the update.

Disabled adblock and the site turned into an absolute mess of ads. Bottom risers and side ads-- those annoying ones that actually get in the way.

I'll stick with the YouTube uploads for now.

This should be fixed now, even with adblock on.

Hey, I know this thread has been out of commission for a while, but I'm also getting this bug.

My main browser is Opera, but I'm also using Chrome; on Opera, I'm getting a constant loading icon (spinning) and with chrome the video will occasionally load however ore often than not it will stay blank. I've also noticed that I dont get the timer on Chrome.

I'm running Sierra on a Late '13 MBP, with Ghostery and uBlock origin on both browsers and Giantbomb whitelisted on both. I have tried disabling the extensions as well.

Thanks in advance!

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having the same issue on chrome. I even disabled adblock and the problem is still there. The funny part is this came about when I decided to run CCleaener to clear some junk and make space and now I'm in a perpetual "loading video" limbo.

Have you tried another browser entirely? Or an incognito window? I'd bet that this is some kind of add-on that's affecting the ability of the player to load.

Yes, video works perfectly if I use another browser (is the only way I can watch anything on my PC at the moment). I tried incognito and disabled all my add-ons one by one to suss out which one is causing the problem, but no dice, videos still won't load on chrome. Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention with live streams I get the 404 error message.

I just had this issue in chrome, used incognito mode and it worked. Tried disabling like certain stuff with the https everywhere addon, tried allowing 3rd party cookies with no luck. Checked the console and it said something about "failed to set volume" so i tried changing the volume to maybe 80% in the videoplayer while it was spinning and it worked!

It's weird that incognito mode solved it but changing the volume also fixed it and now it works with all these addons enabled again.

Here is the log:

It happened on these videos:

http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/blue-bombin-mega-man-4-part-03/2300-11913/

http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/beast-in-the-east-yakuza-0-part-03/2300-11879/

Used Chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit) on windows 10 64bit.

I had the usual addon suspects enabled like https everywhere, ublock origin(disabled for gb), lastpass, WebRTC Network Limiter.

Full list of addons if you need it, about half was disabled, most notably privacy badger. (some are just web apps i made of regular sites like netdata)
