What's up with the blue box?

There's this new blue box around some of the user pictures. Anybody know what's up with that? (I'm in Chrome)

This is being looked into. Just to put any speculation to rest, the blue border around an avatar means the account has notes on it. That could be anything from a manual note from a moderator to a system generated note from when a topic got moved, and more. A blue border on it's own doesn't mean much.

I see this in Firefox as well, not sure what's going on here

I see it on Chrome, but only on certain avatars. Mine has no border, for example.

There is an additional 'notes" tag in the HTML profile link for the users that have the blue border. The div containing the avatar that has "note" attached has CSS setting background image gradient for ."avatar.notes"

No idea what "notes" is.

And why do i have a ban option when i hover over profiles?

I want to try just to see what happens.

The dropdown lists time periods, 1 day to forever. I guess it's an ignore function.

With all of this and the icon and banner change on the GB Youtube channel, I don't know what is going on!

EDIT: I tried to ban myself and just got an error.

It's an UI glitch that should be resolved soon. Actually trying to ban would just result in an error.

Maybe it has to do with avatar size? Could be monthly vs yearly membership? It also has an inaccurate follower count for everybody as well, could be they are going to add the border for everybody eventually and are just testing the waters.

Am I blue?

I dunno, the blue boxes look kinda dope. I wouldn't object to them being there permanently.

For being on-topic reasons: I see them on the latest stable firefox build.

I also am seeing them on Firefox and in Safari and Chrome on my mac (even when not logged in!).

What is this? Accidental Mod Vision for everybody?

@noval: That can't be true. I have a blue box and I'm a bot.

Some wires got crossed and the mod button showed up when it shouldn't have. Don't worry you can't actually ban people unless you're a mod for real. Fix is on the way for tomorrow. Pretend you didn't see anything... !
