Image upload broken?

When I try to upload an image, it simply says "Server: IO error - no file selected" and that's it. It doesn't matter where or what I want to upload, it's plain broken. Screenshot of the error: http://img3.imagebanana.com/view/z7khv87g/Zwischenablage1.png (never mind the huge ad underneath).

Can anyone confirm this or is it a problem on my end? In uploaded the last picture the day before yesterday, using Firefox 3.0.11. Uploading stuff  in general works flawlessly, so it's not a router problem, I guess.

Alright, back to figuring out the cause then … I already deleted the browser cache, so let's see what else I can do. I hate the IE and since GB has no love for Opera, I am stuck with Firefox.

What didn't work so far:
  • clean new profile
  • deleting browser cache
  • deleting cookies
  • disable AdBlock+ (I know, I am bad …)
  • disabling all extensions
  • re-installation of Adobe Flashplayer
  • re-installation of the Java Runtime Environment (yeah, I'm kinda reaching now)
  • changing the DNS-Server
  • updating the graphics driver (not because of this though).
  • uninstalling anti-virus programm

Well, I am out of options for the moment. Strangely, it's not always stuck at 10%. Often it's 12%, sometimes it even hits 23%. I am located in central Europe, maybe that's part of the problem (some weird IP issue or something).

Okay, I finally found the cause: The infamous Fasterfox Extension - apparently giantbomb didn't like the "optimized" profile which increases the number of connections to a server. I better get back to manual tweaking.

So Fasterfox was the problem?  Good to know. Thanks.
