Dave, as someone who works in IT but has thought a little bit about trying out some development/design, I will personally buy another year of premium membership (and I still have 2 years left already) just to see you do that video/tutorial series on the site redesign. I would love to see something done like that and I really love the way you approach and talk about it. Would love to see it happen.

THIS!!!

+1, I also work as a programmer I would be very interested in it

Yes, this would be awesome!

Site looks naked without the Radio Dave logo, but love the content!

I cant understand what the UK guy says at 1hr 46 minutes into it, about Jeff and Time Crisis? time Trials? Any help would be appreciated.

awesome, i'll wait for some RAW video monday

Just want to say: this was the best radio show yet. Great conversation, great questions, great sound quality. Keep making content like this and I'm a happy subscriber.

@Mdk5631: You're a sellout. Stop bitching and be glad GB still exists. They would've been sold by Shelby Bonnie no matter what.

They didn't really come up with a new name for the show so I guess it's just Radio Dave then.

Posted by Mattalorian

Hey guys, I have a suggestion for the name: "Luchadeer Live".

Posted by Zero_

I like Radio Dave. Just another persona of Dave like Hardcore Dave.

@vinster345: I totally am using doggcatcher for android. It won't authenticate at all.

Posted by HiImMikeCruz

Yea I'd like to know to know how to download thia on my Android as well. I can't even get "save as" to work.

Posted by HerbieBug

I completely missed this when it was posted.  downloading goodness now.

I've tried pretty much every single podcast downloader for Windows, with the exception of iTunes, that I can find to subscribe to this feed. None of them will authenticate my membership email/pass and I know that I'm typing it in properly. I know there's a forum thread saying Zune won't and iTunes will, so is it some kind of specific iTunes authentication that they're using? Anyone know?

Posted by dougbrit2

@louiedog: Unfortunately I've only ever used iTunes, it will then always prompt you for your username and password for the wiskey account you made. My recommendation would be to troubleshoot your issue. Install iTunes just to test if your credentials are going through or not, if they are one step down, if not an email to support ought to get you in.

So after listing to this, if you guys do give-aways and only do local pickup (being someone from the east coast) kinda sux.

@Kingfalcon: I'm going to second this assertion. As a health-care professional, I can assure you that there is no compelling or conclusive evidence that links ingestion of diet soda with any carcinogenic events. The main reason that we keep hearing about the dangers of aspartame and such is that certain analogues of aspartame and saccharin are mildly carcinogenic, thus some unscrupulous medical professionals make wild claims about their dangers while providing no direct evidence. Don't listen to the crappy science of whatever major news source you might frequent, most (if not all) health/science news in popular journalism is alarmist and sensational.

If someone has convinced you that the cause of any sort of cancer you may have unfortunately experienced is the cause of diet soda you must listen to me and ignore their advice completely in the future. One of the most difficult clinical diagnoses is to find the cause of carcinoma. Its even difficult for doctors to definitively claim smoking as the cause of certain cancers even though the links from smoking to cancer are much much more well understood than most others.

It's stuff like this that makes me eternally grateful that my best friend is a nurse. Actual conversation:

"For real, what's going on with salt?"

"Honestly? It's not bad for you as long as you keep hydrated. Stay hydrated throughout the day and most, if not all, excess salt passes in urine. The problem is that most Americans don't drink nearly enough water throughout the day."

Posted by LiquidPrince

@Rexicon: I never said it caused any sort of cancer. For me though, it caused me to break out in really bad rashes. It also only happened when I upped my consumption.

Man, I know he was probably just joking around, but Ryan was really obnoxious in this.

I can't get the RSS to authenticate in Instacast on my phone, which is a huge bummer. Guess I'll go download from iTunes...

Brad sounds like he's missing the best parts of Ni No Kuni. The dungeons are really short and just lead up to the fun boss battles, but exploration and monster hunts of NNK are where I'm finding the most fun. Also, once you finally get the full battle system, most of the qualms I had with the game at the beginning were either lessened or removed. It definitely has its JRPG roots still, but comparing it to FFXIII just seems like a joke.

No offense to her, but she's 'just a nurse'. I've worked as a dietitian in a hospital and you best be careful taking their advice concerning food. They do not know allot of things that are crucial.

What she told you regarding salt for instance, is not how it works. It will not be fully excreted through urine. That also doesn't make any sense, because salt has extremely important roles in muscle contraction. It's why they add sodium to sports drinks. It's not to just pee it out later, it's because your body absorbs most of it.

If you would just excrete 'excess' than you wouldn't have any reserves for very important functions like sweating. The body makes sure not to excrete it, if anything.

HAW! You DO realize that just because you say "no offense," it doesn't just wipe clean whatever else you say? And considering I'm not sure there's a more condescendingly inaccurate phrase (that doesn't involve age) than "Just a nurse," I think I'll leave it at that.

Oh and that's "JUST a nurse practitioner"

Posted by Zevvion

@undeadpool: I apologize, I should have been more mindful there. What I meant by the phrase was that although being a nurse does not make one knowledgeable on all things health concerned. It is not her profession to know everything around nutrition, she is taught that what she needs to know to do her job well. There are specialists for a reason; is all I meant to say.

Posted by Undeadpool

@zevvion: Fair dues, sorry I flew off the handle, I just know how hard she's worked and how much BS she still has to face from people who think nurses just putter around until the doctors get there to do all the real work.

Additionally: there's a good chance I either misheard or misunderstood, I was recalling a verbal conversation from awhile back, so it's more likely the mistake is mine.

Edited by Zevvion

@undeadpool: No, you were right, I was being a dick. Or at least, I came across as one. Actually, my ex is a nurse as well and until I met her I never realized how hard they work. She always told me some of the doctors indeed view nurses as I regretfully described in my first post and do not respect them that much. Not all doctors are like that luckily.

Also, just to be clear, she's probably much better at her job than I am at mine. Don't know if it's the same where ever you live, but it's pretty amazing what they need to do/manage to do with so few staff.

So I get where you're coming from.

Still sad about Ryan. You can't watch/listen any of the classics without him. It's hard to believe that such a strong glue of GB is gone.
