Um, wow. I go to bed really late because the podcast isn't getting posted and wake up to a shitstorm. I really love Leigh's blog, and I think she's extremely smart, so hopefully this is all exaggeration. I guess I'll know when I listen myself.

No More Sparks On Podcasts

Lots of you asked me to go on Giant Bomb's podcast, so I did -- I would recommend skipping through me on it, though. I'm listening to it being pretty horrified at my blabbing on drunk/exhausted/wired/too loudly. Yikes, sorry everyone ;_; (and special sorry to the Giant Bomb team, srsly was just not aware of myself)

Oh Leigh, You are such a Sony fan girl.
She hates on Home and Second Life, and says Sony is cooking the books to make Home appealing to advetisers, but says she doesn't blame Sony? Really, if you think they are making crap up to swindle other companies, then they are wrong.

ALSO, the reason Sony is positioning itself as a "Hardcode" console, is because its fucking $500. They CAN'T position themselves as a console for all. They want to.
The Xbox has already cornered the hardcore audience and doesn't have anything to prove in that space.

Anyways, she needs to drink/smoke up less before doing podcats.

It's strange, I thought Leigh's comments with pretty spot on. She sounded like she was talking intelligently. When she spoke about her gaming preferences she was speaking very closely to my preferences. So I guess I just found myself relating to her pretty well. She seems to play off the others well too. I enjoyed it.

It's official!  The bombcast was bombjacked by two complete douches!

Douche #1 - Leigh Alexander [completely ruined the first hour and a half]

Douche #2 - Kraig Kujawa [asked way too many questions from his douche tower, which ruined the remaining half hour]

As much as it pains me to say, as host, I have to lay some of the blame on Ryan.

I didn't mind Leigh, really. She did make some good points.

You can't really expect the usual Tuesday glory when there's a bunch more people around, everyone is excited, everyone is on Sparks, and there's alcohol involved.

The podcast itself was interesting. But despite Leigh's statements, she's annoyingly opinionated and hypocritical, as well as really rude with cutting people off. That was super frustrating.

Edit: Just looked it up.  Apparently Sparks is an alcoholic beverage.

I'm not happy with some of the stuff that was said, but I don't think they should have posted the whole podcast, and should have directed the conversation like hosts should if their intent from the beginning was to broadcast whatever was said.  Ultimately it was up to them, since they control the content.

I actually didn't mind her that much until she jacked the discussion about Konami's press conferrence to go on a rant about how MSG4 was under appreciated by, like 99% of people, and she was the only one that understood the sudlty of Kojima's vision, or some shit  like that. Basically saying that if you enjoyed MSG4, you only did so cause your a fucktard and arn't as smart as her sudo-intellectual, Fleet Fox listning, anime loving, drunk ass.

You know who a really great female guest would be, Jennifer Tsao. What is she doing these days? Actually any of the women from 1up.com would be good guests. Even Jessica Chobot from IGN.com would be a fun guest. Anybody but Leigh. She was okay at first, but she became grating mid podcast. This is the first Bombcast I could not finish because of a guest.

Look, let's be honest... Jeff is the best part of the bombcast. He's consistently funny and has so many witty comments. I could listen to Ryan go "welcome to Jeffcast - Jeff? You want to just ramble on games?"

It's good that she's aware of it now. There are a lot of people here saying that she makes some good points; I think she does too. However, the way in which she makes the points and just talks over everybody else... I mean, come on!

After an hour of listening, I decided I'm not going to listen to the rest of this podcast.


Bombcast needs more Greg Kasavin.
