That introduction sounds a lot like something I'd write. After all, it's long, it makes a habit of insulting the reader for responding, there's the odd Yu-Gi-Oh reference, and there's a good chance that ZombiePie will angrily ignore it.

The rules are the way they are, that is ambiguous, because guess what none of us are experts in porn games. The new way of going about this and expect it to be implemented in the future is that "culturally significant" is something much more narrow. That is porn games would only get wiki articles if they are covered or would ever be covered by the gaming press.
We do not want a comprehensive database on games that are pornographic as this is not what the owners of Whiskey Media want Giant Bomb to ever be about.
@Psycosis: If it has anime based on it sure, if it is based on an anime fine, if Kotaku or Joystiq write something about it fine, but as for the Japanese Press that's different. I think you will agree that this site isn't the go to source for information about Japanese only games.
This is dancing around the major point I previously have already stated. The owners of Whiskey Media do not want this site associated with pornography as it jeopardizes the number of advertising contracts they can get. That means limiting as many if not all games that can be called pornographic.
@ZombiePie: Well while I understand the reasoning and realise it's literally only going to affect me, I still find that complete bullshit.
Should I try to change that?I think you will agree that this site isn't the go to source for information about Japanese only games.
@Video_Game_King: As long as doing so is not inconsistent with the site rules have at it.

Cool. As I always say I don't care if you agree with the rules but you're going to have obey them. I'm not changing the direction of the site rules against porn games. If that's something you care about find another site that covers them.
Is that your way of saying, "I'll delete any Dan McNeely pages you try to create"?@Video_Game_King: As long as doing so is not inconsistent with the site rules have at it.
Brass Restoration is a visual novel without the least bit of bumpin' in it, although it does have dating and relationship angst. It showed me what the visual novel format could accomplish, which is quite a lot. The translation may have been a bit off because some of the narrative felt weird, but the format was a great way to explore the main character and the characters he met. I think there's a lot of potential for the visual novel, porn or no porn. I'm glad I heard about Brass Restoration through the Independent Game Source, and I'm glad folks are willing to talk about these sorts of games even if some are scared off by their general reputation.
@Snipper138: If Sharin no Kuni was to be added to the list right now, it'd be at #4. No idea when I'll get around to writing about it though!
