New leaf is gonna feel like fucking forever away.
New leaf is gonna feel like fucking forever away.
nintenDO what everyone else don't. 3DS confirmed as best console
So psyched for the new Mario & Luigi RPG. Also, I'm right there with you Alex. Luigi > Mario any day of the week.
I'll take more Mario & Luigi titles anytime.
A new Mario & Luigi?! Hell yeah!
That new console we just released 3 months back? Yeah, forget about that.
Quite a bit of 3DS games which is great, but where is the WiiU stuff.
Everyone loves rooting for the underdog! From "year of the bow" to "year of the Luigi", I can get behind that.
I continue to be excited for the new Luigi's Mansion, and that Mario & Luigi RPG announcement is certainly out of nowhere, but I'm not complaining! I don't know if it will be able to top Bowser's Inside Story, but I'd like to see them try.
Year of the bow pfff whatever, Year of Luigi now you got me Nintendo, besides Green is a way better color than red.
YEAR OF LUIGI ONLY! YOLO! I'm sorry.
Alex! You left out the most important piece of information. We actually got a solid European release date for Fire Emblem Awakening which is 19th April ! Its a way off, but at least we'll get it eventually.
The best Mario brother finally getting his due.
SUPER DISAPPOINTED they didn't announce new 3DS XL colors though. I'm itching to buy one Nintendo, just not in that ugly-ass matte red and blue.
Luigi will also be a DLC character for Fire Emblem: Awakening, and the WiiU will be renamed the WiiUigi. Year of the Luigi, motherfuckers.
This pleases me, can't wait for Luigi's Mansion!
I kinda love this "Oh, yeah btw. here are some major games, all releasing within the next 6 months. Bye" attitude Nintendo has nowadays.
Wait, so how are they trying to sell the Wii U?
I will be buying all of that except Donkey Kong Country Returns (I already have it on Wii) and the NSMB U stuff. I have been looking forward to a new Luigi's Mansion game for so long. And I absolutely adored the Mario & Luigi games.
Also grew up with a preference for Luigi; deep-seated need to root for the underdog in all things.
The 3DS has a good slate coming up. 8-4 has been very positive about the newest Animal Crossing, best installment in a very long time. Then there's new Luigi's Mansion, Mario and Luigi: Psychonauts, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright, and the Retro-developed Donkey Kong Country game which many people never got around to playing on Wii.
If you own a Wii U, sounds like you are still fucked.
People do realize this was a 3ds focused Nintendo Direct, right? This WiiU one was a couple weeks ago...
I will gladly buy all of these games.
There are too many 3DS games this summer. And not enough time to play them.
I think I'm going to buy the new Animal Crossing game, but I'm not sure I even actually want it.
Now's your chance to surpass Mario Luigi!!
It is going to be hard to not buy a 3DS this year it seems.
New Mario and Luigi RPG set inside Luigi's mind?! That may be the best game news I've had in years!
hahaha Animal Crossing on my birthday!!
My educated guess is that they will concentrate on 3DS related material in the Nintendo Directs, and save the Wii U announcements for E3. That way, they do not have a repeat of last year where the 3DS felt pushed to the side.
Aww Yiss Luagu.
Oh man, DKCR for the 3DS might actually be pretty good now that all of the BS waggle controls will have to be stripped out.
Yeah! My 3DS will finally be justified! I bought it at launch, but I've only played like three games on it thus far. Luigi's Mansion, Mario & Luigi, and Animal Crossing? Sign me the hell up! The Mario & Luigi games are awesome, and I seriously regret missing Bowser's Inside Story. I also never had a Wii, so I'm definitely interested in finally playing Donkey Kong Country Returns. DKC 2 is still one of my all-time favorite games.
I am also pro-luigi, and the idea of a Mario and Luigi game set inside his mind sounds like the best game ever. So glad I conveniently have a 3DS now.
The 3ds actually has a pretty stong line-up this year. It's starting to pay off having bought one recently.
This is cool. Feeling glad that I got my 3DS!
Meanwhile, at Sony HQ, people are sitting around saying, "what the fuck is a Vita?"
"Hell, I even liked him in Super Mario Bros. 2, squirrelly jump and all."
Was there another way to play? The method as I remember was playing as Toad for 1-1 and 1-2 to getting a ton of spins at the end of those levels, thus hopefully extra lives. The rest of the game was pure Luigi. There was zero need for Mario, although an arument could be made that the princess' float was useful in the ice world
I guess I need to get a 3DS after all. Real glad to see they havn't tossed this console on the floor even though it probably never will get as popular as the DS.
Very excited for all the Luigi news but disappointed we still haven't seen the official Mama Luigi game announced.
Luigi jumps higher therefore > Mario.
Excited to see more stuff coming out for 3DS like Mario & Luigi RPGs but I'm not gonna pretend like it's exciting they're re-releasing Donkey Kong Country Returns in 3D. Already beat that game, it was great on the Wii but how about a NEW Donkey Kong game for 3DS.
Alex, 'alternate versions of the game's stages' seems a bit off. I dont think the stages are going to be beholden to the original games framework or layout or pacing. This is a brand new game with brand new stages that simply uses the same assets/building blocks
Aw yeah this is gonna be a great year for the 3DS.
A 3DS was in my future at some point thanks to Luigi's Mansion, but with a new RPG it will be in my hands the moment I can afford it. Mario Golf is always a fun time, that just sweetens the purchase.
All that matters is that a new Mario & Luigi game is coming.
I need to buy a 3DS now.
I'm so happy I have a 3DS. Happy Valentine's everyone, that includes you, Iwata. *kiss*
Does Nintendo know they just released a console? I mean no one is buying that so maybe start talking about wii u games?
Good news on all those 3DS games though. Can't wait for Luigi's Mansion
