"So Call of Duty has been dropped from the title right?"That's what it sounds like. But there's also a possibility that, much like COD: WAW, the Call of Duty name will play a lesser role than it did with COD4.
So Call of Duty has been dropped from the title right?
"I don't really care what they call as long as they make Modern Warfare 2 just as amazing as the last one."Couldn't have said it better.
Hm, yes, center mass, quite.
I love the COD4 Multiplayer, but I play games primarily for single-player as well. I love a good story and a good single player campaign, and COD4 delivered both of those admirably. And even if MW2 doesnt top MW1, it will still top World at War. Get this franchise back in the hands of a developer that knows what its doing.
The problem is topping their last game. They can't use the nuke scenario as a plot twist a second time. And if this truly is Modern Warfare 2, in the sense that it will take place within the same general time period, and with the same basic technology, then they'll have to come up with something to keep it from feeling like more of the same. Although I suppose most people won't complain about "more of the same" when it comes to Infinity Ward's Call of Duty.
Then again, seems like most people only care about the multiplayer, anyway. I'm a single player-player.
Screw the centre mass, hit 'em in the greasy bucket!
Well, no surprise here. And by no surprise I mean it is so AWESOME!
another reason to not buy world at war! yes!
by modern they mean MODERN AGE THAT IS BAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOAD UP UR MUSKETS CHAPS
Moden Warfare 2.. excellent!
The only thing I hope for.. is that they do some more innovating in the multiplayer portion. I know their single player will rock face, there's no question or doubt there. But the mutliplayer... which I LOVE will need updating. I played a ton of COD4 mutli.. and quite a bit of W@W multi as well. Great systems but going back for a 3rd installment of the same exact system would be a little too much. Don't think it would last as long. So here's to hoping COD6 pwns all expectations!
Vulture sounds like an aerial unit, so I'm guessing that's just the standard air support sequence.
Anyway, can't wait for this one. The first Modern Warfare blew my mind, and I'm sure Infinity Ward can do it again.
Why wouldn't that be his actual title? It's an awesome title.
Wow i am so surprised i cant believe that they are making a modern warfare 2 after the huge sales success of the first one.
I was really looking forward to a Sci-Fi call of duty game. Modern stuff is just too ordinary now, and I think IW could really do some good work since Sci-Fi really doesn't have any limitations.
At least it won't be another WW2 FPS again this time.
Well theres my hope for IW making a Sci-Fi CoD shot.
HAHAH read the tweet when he posted it. I had a feeling it would turn into a story. its on 1up now aswell
Oo sweet. I'ma subscribe to his twitter feed. I can't wait for MW2. :__; I need a new online experience....
i think MW2 will be similar to the first one except a different single player campaign. its gonna feel and play identical to the first one, i don't see the reason why they should change the formula
Will it be overrated as the first is the question. Sorry folks the first one was nothing special if you had played previous CoD games.
I'm predicting it to be the best COD by far...As long as they make a longer campaign than 4. Also I think they should add a new game mechanic, where you can dive to the side from grenades, because that would add a whole knew dimension to gameplay.
I can't wait for this one, after the colossal dissapointment that was WaW's multiplayer it's nice to play somewhere else other than the streets and countrysides of Germany with better guns.
I think Modern Warfare 2 is a decent title if they do go for that. Or if they really wanted to explain it could have "Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2: Back to the Future (Of War) 1"
I can't wait for it...
Fuck Call of Duty in its "me too" asshole. :(
"seriously though, he's right. the single shot guns, mainly that m14, should be a single shot kill gun, especially considering the crazy recoil . "the M14 is a 1 shot kill gun if you use it in Hardcore! =)
people say Killzone is really hyped up (and it is) but man when the new Call of duty trailer hits and previews start going up. get ready for the atom bomb of hype.
seriously though, he's right. the single shot guns, mainly that m14, should be a single shot kill gun, especially considering the crazy recoil .
"Aw, man! Everyone else takes three or four shots to center mass before dying, but Cujo died after one!"
This needs to happen.
I'm all hyped up. I wonder when they'll get to releasing actual trailers and info for COD:MW2 though.
whats all this bolt action rifle and center mass stuff about?
vulture...I think I remember vulture 1-6 being said sometime during COD4...
pretty sure it was a seaknight...
God I hope I hope I got that one wrong, I don't want to accept that I played COD4 campaign that much...
It seems natural they would want to continue that theme and by using that name.
The call sign of Vulture suggests aerial attack or reconnaissance...
Man, the bolt-action rifle center mass phrase is totally the best meme to come out of the bombcast. Better than "Still a threat" methinks.
All development companies should have a director of macking and keeping it real. The world would be a better place.
I don't really care what they call as long as they make Modern Warfare 2 just as amazing as the last one.
I think it's safe to assume that it will be known as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Not Call of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2.
Yeah, they should make a mario platformer!
Call of Duty 4 is amazing and all but I'm really starting to get sick of military shooters.... actually, shooters in general. Unless Infinity Ward makes huge leaps (like the improvement from Call of Duty 2 to 4) then I'm not picking it up.
Nice to hear, I might pick it up at the end of this year.
Reviewing some radio-chatter VO we just finished recording for Modern Warfare 2 today. “Cujo Two-One this is Vulture, solid copy on all.”
