I'm glad you decided to play this game. It really hasn't gotten the attention it deserves.

First! To put it lightly... I don't think the uh... subtlety.... required for this type of game was exactly present in the person holding the controller.

Completed it, loved it, can't wait for DLC. My second fav game after MGS4 of 2008.

I'm playing through this in my spare time. I normally can't get into strategy games, but I'm really enjoying this one so far, although the little pig with wings is a bit too much for me to handle.

I like anime. But I'm put-off somewhat by the total anime-ness of this damn game. It's war, war is gritty. Yet this guy's running around, find a single enemy, gets hit a couple of times with no vivisble effect, shoots the guy twice in the head, guy falls over, and then he proceeds to pump his fist, and he's like "YOSH!". Christ.

I love this game, really fantastic.  Restored my faith in the PS3, a little.

It's look like an interesting game. I want to get it when its price drop, which should be soon, unfortunately.

I have this game but I haven't played it yet. There's 4 Gamestops within a 25 mile radius of where I live and only one of them had ONE copy left so I scooped it up.

This does look like a pretty awesome game actually,  If only I had a PS3, there's no chance of this ever coming to the 360 is there?  I would totally buy this.

Yey! They listened to our feedback and continued filming quick  looks with two commentators.

This is not only the best JRPG so far this gen, but it was one of the best games of 2008. In fact, was it not for MGS IV it should have goten GOTY. At least RPG GOTY. Lots of extra stuff, weapons, accesories, and hours of game.
PD: The game sold more than enough units for its Genre. With 300k it sold more than any Disgaea up to date, and is close to Fire Emblem and Tactics Ogre, the most succesful SJRPG.

To bad it's a ps3 exclusive game.

This game is just awesome and it deals with themes i wasn't expecting for a T rated game, and yes i love the anime look i think it makes it look fantastic.

If I didn't have triplets on the way, a new house, and my wife still had her job, I'd go buy this right now.

But I have to settle for a gamefly rental or wait til June and my birthday. Great video, Brad and Dave. I enjoy all of these a lot and I can see myself getting completely addicted to playing this game.

You never know. They may port it to 360 since its a Sega game, not Sony. I kinda wish they did port it because I love it and wish it gets the sales it deserves. However, I have a feeling the market  for a srpg would be even smaller on 360.

Glad to say that this game was the first game I purchased for my PS3 since I got my MGS4 Bundle last year. This is one really fun and different game from the usual RPG I've played lately, and that there WoW.

This is the 2nd best game I played last year. It's a shame it didn't sell, certainly deserved better than a lot of other crap that sold millions.

Yeah, I didn't get a chance to play it till I got back from Australia. I definitely would have revised my best of 2008 list if I'd have messed with it before the trip. I really really really want to see someone take the engine/playstyle and adapt it to a Forgotten Realms game.

This game looks absolutely awesome, but I would worry that later levels become much harder/impossible, much like Advance Wars is to me. I'm just not great at any of these turn-based games, with perhaps the exception of Final Fantasy Tactics games, although even that is a bit sketchy.

It looks nice but in my experience with these games I've found them to be boring and tedious.

The demo didn't click with me and I actually wasn't interested in this game, but you've successfully changed my mind. I get the appeal of it now. Think I might be in the mood for trying out something different.

This is rumored to have been discontinued already.

such a beautiful game man. too bad its not selling well. its probably the first rpg i actually enjoyed. its different. its a change of pace for me which is nice, but its just as engaging as anything else. 

I support more Valkyria Chronicles content. I would also support random interjection Ryan, Jeff, and Vinny commentary. A Giant Snakecast style Giant Valkyriacast: Video Edition- with a giant multiplayer match/review would be awesome.

So it's basically operation darkness but you don't get to shoot hitler.
