I really don't understand why certain people don't understand this concept yet. I mean, really. Really? I mean REALLY?
Ok, so if you randomly stumble onto these videos and then for some reason want to comment without watching the videos then you probably just don't know what you're talking about. Fine. Then you're just an idiot for commenting on something you don't have any experience with. Fine whatever.
Ok, so let's say that you've actually watched these videos religiously, so... now should you understand S. Links? Maybe, maybe not. I mean sometimes V/J don't mention it and they start of S links just because they're close. Fine. I mean maybe you weren't able to read what the game said because you had the video minimized and V/J were talking about something else. Then you're just not paying that close attention and well you're an ass for commenting on something that you should know about but fine whatever.
Ok, so now we've got Gunblader and others of his sad ilk. Gunb, you've watched the vids, you've played the game. How do you still not know how it works? It's not a difficult concept. An S. Link has 10 levels and at the very minimum you would need 10 interactions (including the first) to get to level 10, right? Right. But what happens if you have an interaction with an NPC but you don't get your level? Well that means that you need more than 10 interactions with an NPC to get to level 10. Still there? Well the more times you don't match the Arcana with the NPC the more times you'll get a scene with no level increase. The more times you DO match arcanas then the more you'll avoid the non-levelling interaction.
And the worst thing is... this isn't some secret behind-the-scenes dice rolling going on. I mean the game freakin' tells you in RED LETTERS. If you played the game and still didn't understand this concept I wouldn't go around bragging about it.
