I wish I could of told them back then to use a persona that is strong against physical then the babies would be a walk in the park.

Watching them Mind Charge for the tank battle made me cringe.

awesome thief reference is awesome.

"I'm Pazuzu!  Check me out on Saturday mornings as part of the 4Kids action block!"

Man, that was way funnier than it probably should be.

Pazuzu!!

"POW block, anyone?"

Too fitting in this dungeon.

I like how almost every enemy they fight here is the babies, I fought them like twice total on my playthrough.

More leveling. Meh. And Vinny continues to waste SP by using nothing but Diarama. >:(

26:40, Vinny heals up the party. I love the brief hesitation before saying "I love you" and filling Yukiko all the way.

Ghetto blaster bumpin' "Kokomo." All day.

"TRY SOME SONIC PUNCH!"  I howled with laughter.

Go Vinny, Go!

As far as I can tell, All-out attacks deal Almighty Damage, a basically neutral damage type. Some enemies are strong against it, which is why it may deal less damage.

Really...there's no reason for them to grind they you reach the final, final dungeon (which I doubt they actually will unlock), because everything scales so rapidly. It's just diminishing returns. That said, for everyone thinking they are anywhere close to the end of the game, you're very, very wrong.

On the positive side, the best dialogue in the game comes in the latter half. So they're going to have a field day once they reach the marathon S.Link stuff in between the 5th and 6th dungeons.

Great episode as always, I cant wait for the next one, lso, there is little time left to save the kid

Forgot to mention earlier, Skate or Die reference for the win Vinny! That was an awesome game.

Hehe, another great episode. Grinding to get Black Frost up to 43 would be a great idea, and Yukiko will get Mediarama along the way, like others have said. Looking forward to the next episode.

I  dont own Persona 4, so i'm going to correct you in the only field I specialize in.

"Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama.

I doubt they'd do it at this point, but if they could get Teddie to the low 40's in level, I'd venture to argue that, for them, he's a better choice than Chie for this fight.  He has the extra healing, Matarukaja, and I'm afraid they would have Chie using Bufula instead of Black Spot, considering their reluctance to use physical skills.  Teddie has Ice Boost, and probably a higher growth to Magic than Chie, making him a better choice for magic spells.

BUT, if either of you bro's are reading this, be sure to use Chie's physical skills!  She learned the last of her ice skills with Bufula, and will not get Mabufula, Bufudyne, or any ice-enhancing spells.  Kanji is in a similar boat, but he gets a full range of Lightning spells, with Ziodyne and Elec Amp.

@John1912: You don't have to watch them, you know. There's not gonna be a quiz later.

Dude, I totally had that cassette when I was a kid... the soundtrack for the movie Cocktail.  I must have listened to "Kokomo" 1,000 times because of it.

The suspense is killing me, I can't wait to see them take on the boss.

"89 episodes and not a single bad or even boring one"

Ive yet to watch one that I enjoyed, and it usually makes me feel like a complete nerd as I dont understand half the jargen they are talking about in the game, but I know if it were FF Id be completly in the loop.

Apart from playing the game, everything else they do in ED(comments, jokes, reactions, etc..) is what really stands out in ED. Doing a 10 level grinding would do wonders for the game but wouldn't benefit the Endurance Run at all. They have to achieve a balance between the gameplay and everything else. And I believe they're doing a fantastic job on achieving that balance (89 episodes and not a single bad or even boring one, at least for me).Said that, great episode guys. I would hope that tomorrow's episode would be the boss battle, but something tells me you will leave that for next week. Nevertheless, you're on the right track.Keep them coming! "
86/87 might of won the boring awards.Theres like 40 hours of gameplay left, expect the fun to last till ep 250 at this pace.Haven't seen them actually dodge a mob ever, not sure if they know you can just run past them.
Please don't die, watching repeats are painful.

They've still got quite awhile  to go. :)

@Winternet:  That's kind of my point. (Well part of it anyway.) Not only would overleveling be an unnecessary  waste of time from a gameplay standpoint, but no one is going to want to watch them spend the next couple weeks of endurance runs tediously grinding for exp in this damn dungeon. I highly doubt Vinny and Jeff would enjoy that either. (In fact I would fully expect them to given up on the game if that was ever necessary.)

" @RampageEndsHere: Isn't Tam Lin level 52?! That's a good 7 levels higher than you need to be for the boss! "
Tam lin is a keeper, one of the best to use for levelling. Im still using it at lv 76, its lv 67 but the auto buffs are great.Switching between this and trumpetier after each battle is a major pain though.

Finished this quest at lv 47 with ease. They just need a few good fusions, too lazy to go into the auto buff skills but hanuman at lv 42 is a great start.
This tip seems like it'll save you infinite time and one of the most frustrating aspects in this game.When changing personas in the menu, select it with X,cancel once with O then hit TRIANGLE to full exit the menu quicker.

P4 requires no grinding and given how fast EXP scales actively discourages it.  Run through each dungeon twice like the game strongly encourages and things are fine.  Jeff and Vinny have problems because they they never fully explore the tough upper level of the dungeons and never do the second run when they should, before the next victim.  Mostly that's because they wait until the last moment to finish a dungeon and don't feel like going back in right away.   Its why they haven't been able to upgrade armor in a while and why they are close to broke.

@RampageEndsHere:  Yes, but you have to think much less. In fact, you really wouldn't even have to worry about weaknesses if you're that overleveled, as you'd be able to kill the enemies before they ever got to do anything. Even I often had Persona's equipped later in the game that had exploitable weaknesses when I knew I was strong enough to defeat the enemy before they could attack.

As per usual from the ER, they are at a higher level than me at this point and I did not grind at all before facing the boss. Leveling up to 56 or even to 45 would be a waste of time. My Black Frost did have Agidyne though and I suggest grinding for that. Mediarama couldn't hurt either, but if I remember this boss correctly I ended up mostly using Diarama anyway (until near the end.)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a challenge in RPG, leveling to 56 would make this so boring to watch, no fear of the enemies everything would be too easy.

@Zeik:

Well i wouldnt equip Lucifer against an enemy that can cast the spell Hamaon because he is weak to Light, so one still has to think, regardless level.Although he will learn Repel Light at the end.
Edited by Zeik
@RampageEndsHere: I am not denying that leveling up makes the game easier. Of course it does. What I'm saying is that overleveling is unnecessary. There are more efficient ways of proceeding through the game than spending hours grinding up your levels to the point where enemies are a cakewalk and you don't need to think anymore.

@Zeik:

Overgrinding in a previous dungeon also reduces the size of the shadows on the next dungeon, which allows them to hit the shadows from behind. And higher endurance from overgrinding means less damage and less healing neccesary ,less SP reduction rate to be refilled by the Fox. They used Vanish Ball the first time they encounter the babies, and after they leveled up several time, they were able to take less damage from mind slice , thus higher winning chance, not because of Tentarafoo garbage.

" You guys should really try getting Yukiko to 43 or switch in Teddie for Chie before fighting the boss, because you are definitely going to need someone with Mediarama for Mitsuo. "
They can't bring in Teddie now, he's really underleveled and has low HP to start with.  At the end of the episode It sounded like they plan on doing some leveling up, which is good.
Posted by Turambar
@RampageEndsHere: No, they're not.  You were just extremely over leveled.
Edited by Zeik
@RampageEndsHere: Sure, doing more damage is more satisfying, but when you have to grind for an extra 5-10 hours to get to a high enough level to do that much damage just to save a minute or two in battle (which would have already been canceled out by all the grinding) it's just not worth it.

And yes, that's not a bad way to take down enemies without a weakness as well, however even with apt pupil there's no guarantee you'll get a critical, and against strong enemies an all-out attack won't always kill them. A lot of status effects actually increase your chance for dealing critical hits anyway, so you can say confuse them with Tentarafoo to immobilize them and avoid taking damage, then do a physical attack on them with a greater chance of a critical, and then if you don't end up killing them they're still confused.

@Zeik:

Im just saying seeing a damage of 100-ish instead of 72 is more satisfying RPG-wise and finishing the battle within lets say 30 second rather than 4 minutes. By the way i thought the best strategy to face an enemy without weakness is to cast a physical skill with high critical rate equipped with Apt Pupil and weapon that increases critical rate so it knocks down the enemy to get another turn or All-Out -Attack. I might be wrong.

Professor Farnsworth: "Pazuzu!!! Pazuzu!!!"
