@Vanan: Holy crap dude, don't post that huge of an image.  This was posted in this video's comments and it was also posted in the Persona 4 forums.
Edited by Curufinwe
@Vanan: You have posted images in this comment thread that should only be seen by people who have finished the game.

You should remove it, or maybe a mod can remove it and also ban you from the site for being a fucking idiot.

"Use Tam Lin, no weaknesses and is pretty much your best physical attacker right now with power charge and Deathbound. Tam Lin also has Auto-Marakukaja which is a instant defense boost at the start of every battle. Much better to have a persona with no weaknesses at the start of a fight for those times where the enemy gets the jump on you.    You're not missing Tam Lin because you never tried using him. :P "

It's because they vastly underestimate the power of physical attacks when using Charlie, but it doesn't seem to bother them when they use Chie.  And they would never leave Tam Lin in to use the Auto-Marakukaja.

VINNY, if you read this, PLEASE CHECK AND SEE what Makarakarn is, you might actually find it quite useful...
And get Tam Lin back out..

Also, make sure you fuse Suzaku and Hariti to get Daisoujou, because hes a part to make Trumpeter (I think).

Fuse Mara

Good episode today.  I am eagerly anticipating going back into Nanako's dungeon.

No, this game really doesn't need a checkbox! It needs a re-roll button first!

"
Aion? Have you risen from the grave to troll the Endurance Run comments once again?!?

Hey Jeff and Vinny! you REALLY NEED To kick Chie out of the party, she is garbage and does very low damage. Swap Naoto back in and use the almighty damage

He's right. If you want ice damage, use Teddie. If you want high damage without leveling someone up from Lv.whateveryouleftthemat, use Naoto. If you want to keep using Chie, use her physical skills - that's all she's good for now, along with knocking down ice-weak things(in which case the damage she's dealing doesn't matter). Chie stopped being about Ice magic when Teddie joined the team, and it's really obvious by now since she's stuck with Mabufu and Bufula when everyone else has Ma-something-la and Element-dyne spells.

Don't listen to these guys. CHIE GETS WAY BETTER REALLY SOON! All you need to do is lvl her up abit more. Her ice spells are still effective at knocking down people which is all you need them for. The difference between knocking a dude down to one-half health and rushing. And knocking down for 1/4th health and rushing is nominal.

DON'T GET RID OF CHIE!
Posted by Zolfe

chie gets better later on, she becomes really aweosme when she gets her better physical skills, but for now, she suuuucckks.

also, jeff and vinny should read this guide:
 http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/945498/54981

it's not a walkthrough, just helps with the mechanics of the game, like which effects stack and which don't, and which skills are stronger even though the descriptions only say "light, medium, heavy, and severe" .
It'll help with picking skills for party members, which are permanent, something im not to fond of in the game

Listen, I've almost finished the game with Chie. If I could do it again, I'd choose Naoto.

Maybe Naoto wouldn't be as good on Bosses. But can you imagine what a Mamudoon would do?

I am for Naoto. She's good at instantly killing (as opposed to rushing), every kind of enemy, not just those weak to ice.

As I may have said in an earlier part, do not forget to max Rise's and Fox's social links.

Rise, when maxed, can help you find enemy's weaknesses.

Maxing Fox's link, on the other hand, not only gives a great discount on SP healing, but it also lets you pray at the shrine to help other social links as well.

Why is everyone so bitter?

Posted by evilpaul

Vinny and Jeff,

Get  Daisoujou ASAP!!!

He may be weak to light (or dark, I forget), but with your maxxed Dojima Social Link he'll learn either Resist Dark or Endure Dark (survive with 1HP if it lands) making that irrelevant.

He's one of the Fiends from SMT: Nocturne and a pretty badass Persona to have around. Plus, you'll need him for another fusion later anyway.

Also, use your damned Pinwheels! You could have been knocking down and rushing that Tank boss every turn and killed it in half the time with Pinwheels which do 50 Wind damage. Don't be afraid to use items up, just don't go overboard and use Soma instead of talking to Fox.

LEAVE CHIE ALONE!~!

(aka keep her in.)

Edited by Valkyr

Keep Chie in, you should finish the game with the 4 characters we most love, it is not a matter of who is better, Naoto is meh  and you can't have a record to see which enemies are weak to all mighty attacks, Chie will be ok in a few levels. Pull out Tam Lin and get rid of Black Frost, he is sucking exp during some battles and you better lvl up other Personas so they can learn new skills.

Posted by evilpaul

The only reason to use Naoto is for the first floor or two of a new dungeon, spam all her Instant Death attacks until she's out of SP, and then leave and come back with Chie (or somebody who's actually useful).
Posted by Crispy

It's important to get Tam Lin back out because she learns ENDURING SOUL, probably one of the most useful skills in the game.

If you die, it'll automatically revive you with FULL HP. (it's a passive)
That can save you from a Game Over screen countless times.

yearh well its lvl 67 and they are 59 so they are not in a hurry
but yes you are right
Posted by fox01313

Out of all the persona in the game, IMO the White Rider looks the most awesome :).
Posted by Turambar

High level personas weak to either dark or light will learn some resistance to those skills, so they're not as risky as you make them out to be.

Just found this on Kotaku, perhaps a good read for some endurance run fans.  I didnt get all the way through though, so watch out for spoilers.

I was wondering the same thing, here's my answer:

Up until episode 80, the comments were ususally lighthearted, friendly and funny (aside from AION's rants). What really changed over time is the fact that V&J have become able players of this game. Remember how worried people were before the first boss fight? Today, everyone is trying to call the shots and mold the ER into their ideal of a good playthrough because V&J can actually pull it off now.

So, the better V&J get at this game, the more people pressure them to do very specific things they want to see happening ("OMG FUSE MARA!" "TAM LIN TAM LIN!" "DUMP CHIE!"). It's not bitterness per se, the experienced players are just seeing their chance to influence the Endurance Run before it ends.

I really want to see Niddhuggr....or whatever...but for some reason they've got the impression they've already made one!

No Black Frost does not take away any xp he just gains some from the fight.... He is good through the whole game if you do not get serious in fuseing. My first playthrough was useing him all the way to the end boss and I had no problem. Ofcorse mine had better skills.

Love the ER by the way just a bit bored when you guys dont remember alot of important tools in the game for how long you have played. But that is part of the charm and it is not like you are serious about it wich is good in most case.

I hope if you read this that you read my old post from a few episodes back they will help gain the most social links you can at your current state in game. Good luck and keep up the good fight.

@egads: For the love of God, Lemmy and Naoto Shirogane, how many times people are going to post this with a happyface? "YAY I FOUND SUMETHIN' NEW AND AWESOME THAT IS PASTED ON EVERY COMMENT PAGE"

Also, about the whole Naoto vs. Chie rant. Dump Yosuke for Naoto, he's not a chick, so why bother?

I agree with this, with the emphasis that most mean well. The advice, concerning the experienced players ,worked for them.. Games often do have multible approaches and solutions. Some of course are A-holes, wanting to leave their personal mark somehow, always a few of them. But I hope most were left in that chatroom yesterrday. This GB community seems much tighter and positive. I personally appreciatte the good advice some  offer without spoiling the game. it might be best for V+J to do all endings..if thats how it goes on honest gameplay. A warning to do a save at a cirtain point may be the best of all, i donno, up to the two players how they do it.. I can`t help but want to see the best end, thats human...

I don't question that at all. Maybe it's just the way people phrase their advice lately. It's less gently nudging them in the right direction, it's more putting them in a giant slingshot.

Who cares if the 10 SP/HP items suck, they cost you nothing except a button tap to use and every little bit helps! Come on, Vinster, I know you loves pushing buttons. Just tap them all out in one go an noone will ever complain again.

Post Script: Frosty's coming to the end, my friends. Going t have to think about merging him before he comes just another dead spot in your inventory.

I was just watching the first bit of the boss and I'm so confused at how you play Persona 4. It honestly seems you've learned nothing in 60+ hours of this game lol.

Every other side quest boss has not transformed their weakness. You've been hit by God Hand before... you should know how much damage that does.

To boot you figured out the weakness is wind and instead of mind charge Garudyne him with Charlie you decide to do Agidyne? Come on guys....wtf

Edit: I remember doing this boss when I played and my level which was a lot lower than yours and I had no problem with it. You guys need to let Chie go...compared to Naoto she sucks. That's not up for debate. If you don't get why Naoto is better than Chie you guys are dumb.

Bare in mind that without their fumbling, this show may be less entertaining. Anyway they're doing alright as it is so let them do their thing.

I love the way people here in the comments freak out at the way they play. If you don't like the way they play than don't watch. I find this to be hilarious and fun to watch.

@GamerGeek360:
Commentator freakouts is 10% of the fun involved in the Endurance Run. The other 90% is all Vinny and Jeff. Heh heh heh.

Much more fun people NOT telling them what to do, I think people are single-handedly ruining the endurance run.
