Its pretty impressive how long Black Frost made it, much much longer than any persona I ever had made it.

NOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooo.  Why did you register your Melchizidek and Sigfried when you had better ones in the compendium?
Posted by Gamer_152

Chie has really been the star of these last two episodes.

As much as I like some of the designs of the personas in the game, I'm surprised they didn't get sued over hell biker looking rather similar to Ghost Rider.

God it frustrates me how if a persona is weak against anything or if it doesn't have an amazing skill waiting for them they're too good for it. We shouldn't ever made them fuse Black Frost; it spoiled them. They've passed Surt by twice, it doesn't really matter they'll ride the god hand wave to the end.

Posted by evilpaul

Hopefully, they'll stop relying on gimpy ass magic damage when there's physical attacks that blow it completely out of the fucking water.

Unless any enemy is weak to a particular element, even Severe magic damage attacks pale in comparison to Severe physical ones. And even with a weakness to an element, it's only because of the All-Out Attack you can launch from knocking the enemy down.

(That's leaving out the fact that between HP/SP percentage recovery after battle abilities the physical ones are much more economical.)
Posted by King9999
@Beomoose: Belial's magic stats sucks, though.  I wouldn't use him for dealing magic damage.  Hopefully they'll fuse a Surt.
Posted by Beomoose

NICE God's Hand.

Just because I can't stop myself:

Belial has HUGE fire damage and resists Physical. Don't forget about him!

I now return you to your regularly scheduled recovering from PAX.

@fynne: Pretty sure they recorded it last week before PAX.

Your immediate reaction for any boss/sub-boss should be to cast debilitate : \

Wow!!  I can't believe you guys did a P4 episode right after PAX.  Awesome!!

I also can't believe how fast Chie has gone from "hanger on" to "Go-To girl".

I like how they dumped Yosuke's best attack, Brave Blade, last episode, fight a boss that's resistant to Wind and don't use Wind Break at all.  Who needs 500+ damage Brave Blades when you can do 115 damage with Garudyne? "
They did use Wind Break.  And it doesn't really matter anymore that they don't have Brave Blade.

@Donkeysraliens: Excellent picture! Black Frost dominates all other personas ;)
I loved Chie's God's Hand during the boss-fight. So glad she got this move to bring her back into the action.

I have 2 personae that immune to all attacks(Helel and Beelzebub). It is already enough to satisfy me for the "can you fuse this type of persona" quest.

Regarding Trumpeter,I give him Repel physical,Mind charge, and Absorb elec.Mind charge is for social link request while Repel physical and Absorb elec is the main key for me to beat Secret Boss under 40 turns in solo mode.Still trying to break my own record (42 turns).

There are other 2 bosses using element break other than Shadow Namatame if you dont remember:Shadow Naoto and "IT"(which keep hiding in chest in 2nd playthrough).

No point in fusing Yoshitsune.  It'll take a whole lot of grinding to get Hassou Tobi.  At this point, they're going to God Hand their way to the ending.

At first glance that dude does look pretty feminine, let him off ;D

Also while I'd love to see them do more S.Linking I get the impression they kind of just want to finish this ASAP =/. I imagine they'll leave the dungeon and come back the next day, which also sucks cause they'll miss out on the awesome Fusion Forecast for the day they're at now. Though I guess it's not so useful given how far through the dungeon they are, and I can't really see them getting the True Ending either. Ho-Hum.

aw. i'm sick. no labor day fun for me. oh wait, there's still the endurance run! yay! labor day is back, baby!

Posted by funcmode

I had a couple of Repel/Absorb All personas. First was Trumpeter, then later Helel. I think my Metatron also repel'd everything, but I only used him as a recipe for other fusions, never in fights. I was a bit of a perfectionist with fuses, so I'd typically go for Repel or Absorb instead of Null.

Since I fused my Trumpeter in Heaven (before Judgement S.Link is started) I went in solo just to level him up to 74 to get Debilitate and Heat Riser. That's really the only reason I made him 'invincible', since it would have taken ages to level him up that high with a normal team. Was kind of futile in the end, cause I never used Trumpeter again after the Heaven boss fight =/

It makes the game incredibly trivial. Very few enemies have elemental break spells, Namatame's boss is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. The only thing you have to worry about is Almighty, which is also pretty rare, and status ailments. I gave my Helel Insta-Heal too, so she really was practically invincible. You can quite happily just solo your way through most of the game pressing Rush every time. It takes a lot of fun out of the game but at the same time is strangely satisfying.

I have a suggestion: I'm not sure if the game scales to your level, but if it doesn't, please go into the first dungeon and kill a monster with a Power Charged God Hand just for the sake of seeing 5000 points of damage taking place.

Posted by Seroth

XD @ them missing Amrita on Garuda. I feel like a nerd for catching that, but whatever.

And another XD @ how much a power-charged God Hand did to the dude. Totally worth the risk.

I take it that would take minute planning and mapping out a fuse tree well in advance. It would be worth it though, Charly could just stand there, chillin' and reflectin'. "

But they did make a lot of mistakes during that boss fight, mostly revolving around the confusion ailment. "

What could've they possibly done better regarding confusion? "
First, they should have used the main character to cure Yosuke's confusion instead of making the main character simply attack the boss.  Would have given a chance for Yosuke to do the more powerful wind attack.  Second, they should have used the Amrita soda with Chie to cure everyone instead of using a sedative for one person.  Third, because they used a sedative they should have used another with Yosuke on the main character to cure him and leave a turn to Yukiko in order to heal instead of wasting SP and just doing a little more damage on the enemy with Yosuke's Garudyne. Fourth, why did they bother making Chie heal herself a little bit with a Life Stone instead of giving a sedative to Yosuke if Yukiko's turn was coming up and she could have used that to do a Mediarahan.  Because of that Yosuke missed a turn to do some damage or something useful and Chie basically also wasted a turn. "
Shut the fuck up you whining, snivelling little bitch.
Jesus Christ, dude. He was specifically answering a question he'd been asked.

Hell, the fact that not once but twice in this fight they seemed to forget what Amrita could do frustrated me, and I'm usually an unabashed Endurance Run lover.

I guess we should just be glad that they remembered what Wind Break and Fire Break do.

Love how you guys called Chie's bad luck with God Hand before it happened. Self fulfilling prophecy thy name is vinnie and jeff!

If i remember correctly, adachi is really close now. Epic fight inc!

Allthough they could also choose to grind a level or two for safety.

Posted by FelixLighter

I just finished this fight earlier this weekend.  I had 3 Power Charged God Hands countered and I had to revive Chie twice but when it finally landed on the 4th try it was so worth it.

And frankly I'm a little disappointed in trumpeter. He's packing debilitate, which is great, but megadolaon isn't all that hard hitting and he doesn't really have anything else :\

True, mother Harlet seems to be more useful at this point. By the way, can you fuse a "repell everything" persona? That would equal invincibility, unless someone de-buffs it.

Wow, you're dense.  I did not imply anything at all, how about you try go re-reading what I typed?  The only thing there is me saying that they made mistakes.  That is all.  You're free to try to grasp as much of any comment in order to be able to insult someone, but that's just you trying to see things that aren't there.  And it's not the sarcasm that was insulting; it's what it entailed.  You're saying that I'm trying to prove my Persona 4 intelligence and make everybody who doesn't know as much look stupid.  Being accused unjustly is very insulting, especially when there's nothing to back up the accusation.
