You can have any weapon auto fire by right clicking it but you can only auto fire one weapon per facing either fore or aft. Also you don't need to click anything to target if you don't want to, just hit spacebar or a specific weapon key and it will autotarget the closest enemy target that's currently on screen and in range. In the latest patch they also added fuctionality to the scan button so that it will point to the direction of the closest anomoly which is really helpful.
Also, for ground combat, if the enemy gets exposed then just one shot from an exploit will kill them so I find it helpful to give 3 of the 5 away team expose type weapons and exploit myself when the targets are exposed. You can tell the target is exposed by the ui marker that appears on them and they stumble around.
Awesome. You know I like the way they use an Irish accent when talking about Klingons in the Original Series...some surface dwellers called them "Klinguns" & they looked like man-sized Leprecauns out to start shit. It was cool. The Klinguns were barbaric, drunken, Irishmen back in the day. lol.
Expose is on certain abilities, it stuns them, and makes your attacks do more damage. That's when you see the crazy freeze-frame disintegrate effect, that dude was exposed and you fired off a special attack.
You get the choice between Cruiser (tank) escort (dps) and science (Buff/debuff) vessels. I went for escort, its a pretty cool ship, lotsa cannons and phasers on it. "
Funnily enough though, science vessels actually end up being better tanks because they seem to have the best shields, which are far more important than hull hp.
Space Bar is the hotkey for autoattack (if using phasers). Or like I said in a previous post, bind Fire All Weapons to the middle mouse button and use that.
Also torpedoes can be set to autofire, but only one weapon each in front and aft can be set to autofire at one time. You just have autofire set to phasers, which is indeed the better option.
