Agreed with my medium interest with tactical skills from what I've seen in STO, the grenades seem okay but I found that the engineer kits giving you mines/shield generators in part10 that appear to work in the combat a little more effectively. You can get the ships from the upper level of the Sol station in shipyard but might not be able to buy them though they might have released the restrictions to show off the better ships.
Guessing the bridge option is like the houses in the MMO Runes of Magic where you can invite ppl to see your gear, crew or trade things.
Ryan, stop being mean to Brad and bossing him around! It's funny as all hell, though.
Bossy Ryan was superb, Brad was being classic Brad and everything was great,
Wonderful stuff guys, and yes DS9 did kind of suck.
I WANT THIS AS A SINGLE PLAYER GAME! i want to own a disc, even the $300 lifetime thing would be tempting if i knew I could own this and play it even if the servers go down someday (which who can say what life expectancy this will have?) But for $60-$80 (DLC) I would gladly buy this.... But to drop $300 now only to find i might get bored with it... Its too risky. So please license holders, we need a good console star trek game (or PC just make it a single player disc).
40:45 would have made the most perfect ending to Phasers. Thank you guys for all the great videos! Warp out!
STO actually looks interesting. I may have to upgrade my pc though. I don't get the DS9 hate, that series was awesome.
" U.S.S. Devil Nurse FTFW!!!!!!111111ONEONE "You have no idea how close I came to renaming it the U.S.S. Young Mother.
Oh man. The guys acapellaing the star trek credits at the end there. Beautiful.
Thanks for these videos, I laughed so hard when I saw my USS Steakhouse featured in yesterday's video, also trying to get into the klingon world before the beta ended. Never noticed that the Duder was RIGHT BEHIND ME the whole time! :(
After watching this series plus having played a few hours on a friend's beta-account, I broke down and preordered. Look, it better be good! :)
Ahh and there he goes out into the stars, our brave Seabiscuit. Frigth Tunoku Babby will live on in our hearts. I have watched all of the videos and really enjoyed watching Brad and Jeff fight with the bugs, unintuitive menu system and Brad's refusal to read any text whatsoever.
It remains to be seen whether Star Trek Online will have the momentum to become a fraction as popular as WOW but from watching these videos I really want to try it out for myself. Hopefully I will get the chance to try it and maybe even see a USS Duder out there pulling a Brad.
Do you keep your beta character if you commit to buying the actual game subscription?
I am completely on Dave's side when it comes to Deep Space Nine.
Although I grew up watching the original series - and it is my most beloved, I thought that Deep Space Nine was the best, when it comes to writing.
Like probably all of us, who are not die-hard Trekkies, I have to re-evaluate my memory by watching all the Star Trek again ... or maybe not, cuz it would take years?
Amazon has a deal where you get the standard version for $47, $10off your next video game purchase, early access to the game 1/29, and a Borg Bridge Officer. I think this is the way to go.
fantastic ending, YES!" That was a great outro. "
I had my volume all turned up and my mom came in to my room and told me to shut the hell up when they started singing at the end.
This was one of the best things ever on Giantbomb, but it did not convince me to buy the game. We have to keep in mind that flying through space for 2 minutes and doing nothing is going to be a lot less fun without 2 people talking to us the whole time.
I use the time to type something on fleet chat, the space combat is a little too intense to really not have your hand mashing the arrow keys, number keys, the 'e' key and both mouse buttons at the same time. It looks slow, but in my experience the griffons in WoW are a lot worse, you appreciate the breather here." GB should do this all the time. Pick some mmo, play it everyday on air for like an hour and make it another endurance run. You know we're not watching this for the gameplay, we're watching for the commentary.

Am I the only one who is turned off by the way planetary systems are displayed like bad 3rd grade astronomy models.
It is infuriating to watch someone else play an MMO, but I've strangely enjoyed this.
Awesome as always guys, although i skipped a little of the DS9 spoiler sections as i am watching the series for the first time now, (only up to season 3)
Set Phasers to Fun has been great! All the episodes were definitely very entertainig & I hope you guys maybe continue this with the full game. Or just do something similar for a different game. Anyway, fantastic STO coverage!
So rad, great sendoff to this miniseries. This just reminds me of how badly I want another full-blown Endurance Run.
