The text and color combination looks like it could be the logo of a gang in The Warriors. I would wear that on a jacket.

Oh god, when did this happen.

Fuck, I would pay upwards of twenty US dollars for such a shirt.

I would still wear this. Why haven't WM made this into a shirt yet?!

Whiskey really should do some sort of Threadless-style community voting thing for this stuff. And by "community voting" I mean "just make these into shirts right now and take my money."

Update: 4 1/2 months later, I finally got around to fixing some of the issues I had with the previous version.  What you see is probably the final version, but who knows, I might fix something else in another five months.

Also added a third alternate design.

@buzz_clik: Thanks!
These are vectors, actually.  Photoshop may be raster-based at heart, but it can do vectors too.  I have Illustrator on my old PC, and from my experience, albeit limited (haven't played with it for a few years), Photoshop has roughly the same functionality.  At least for what I need it for.  But I suppose I'll see about getting Illustrator on this computer too.

I would pay at least ten Delta City Dollars for a t-shirt of that quality.

I just caught up with these - nice work, mate! *upward thumbage* I did say I wanted to do the Warlords logo next, but I don't know I could have done it any better!
Also, you interested in using Illustrator at all? I'd recommend it for this kind of thing, fer sure. I used to be a Photoshop boy for ages, then in 1997 I got introduced to the joys of the vector and never looked back. Christ, I just realised I've been using Illustrator for 13 years, and now that I think of it the first time I used Photoshop was in 1994 which is way earlier than that. Ugh, I think I need a lie down.

I think the key to good video game shirts (or video game blog shirts, for that matter) is minor obscurity and good design, so that people who know it will get it, and those who don't will think it's a kick-ass shirt. Blatant references are embarrassing for everyone involved.
These ones I approve of - classy as fuck.

Fixed the text so it better matches the original.  Also added a red version.

Thanks, guys.
@Sweep: I was trying to keep to the relatively simplistic design of the original.  I actually started with the mouth, but it just didn't look right.

@OppressiveStink: I used Photoshop.  And like I said, it's not perfect.  I'll probably revisit the text when I get around to the red version, but what I did was I found the closest looking font I had, made each letter into its own vector and edited them from there.

Looks good, reminds me of a 1950's design.

What did you make this in?  I like the design but the font is a little off-putting as Jeff's shirt isn't exactly a serifed font.  Take that font into illustrator if you can and mess with it to get the more designed font that the shirt has.
It's a really good makeup though!

Looks like it should be a neon sign hanging above the liquor shelf in an old bar.

Looks awesome. I would wear it to any fine establishment that required formal clothing. ( Or killing hobos at the docks for practice. )

Having been inspired by the works of Buzz_Clik's Robotron and Zaxxon shirt designs, and seeing Jeff wear his Warlords shirt on more than a few occasions (plus one caffeine-fueled, sleepless night), I decided to make this.  Being a perfectionist, I can't not see the minor imperfections (wasn't exactly easy when the best reference picture was 150x150), but I figure it's good enough to share with the world.  I might return to it in the future to fix them, but for now, enjoy!
[Edit] Updated the text to better match the original.  Also added a red variant.
[Edit 2] Fixed the glaring (to me at least) errors with the borders.  Also made some fixes to the text.
[Edit 3] Made some additional fixes to the text and added a third version.
