id like to play some of those games, and also see all the pacman games i never played.  and wow Dig Dug 2 doesn't look like Dig Dug at all.  There isn't even any digging.

Ohh man I kinda wanna play Pacman CE DX now,
and Super Meat Boy.. go figure.

As for cereals, corn flakes is like 70+% carbs there's really not that much big a difference in sugar contents
from the ones that sound sugary contra the ones that don't.

I think it's amazing that Namco can keep pumping out Pac-Man games (CE DX) and multiple old Namco collections over two console generations (most of which you can now find in bargain bins), and yet they refuse to localize some of their other games *cough*Tales*cough*.  I don't mind importing, it's just that I prefer to play a game in my first language rather than my fourth.

Also, Game Room is more fun than this. I'd appreciate a few Quick Look: Throwbacks towards the end of the year if the guys have time for it, though. Jeff is like a walking encyclopedia and really knows his videogames, so it'd be interesting if he had comments about older games.

I like Coco Puffs. I have a bowl every day.

anyone want to enlighten me on the difference between galaga and galaxian?

Posted by ShadowKing7
@stinky:
Galaga is the sequel to Galaxian.  In Galaga, you can let certain enemy ships use a tractor beam to steal your ship, and then you can shoot said enemy ship so you can use a double ship and have double shots.

yeah, but it's super easy to port a collection of old arcade games, not as easy to localize an entire RPG.

"Yaaaay!"

Haha, what the fuck man.

I hate how brad always wants to get the quick looks over and done with.

I don't think I can watch Jeff play retro games anymore.

It makes me think of GameRoom.

WAIT did Pac-Man have a nose in that opening animation??

For shame, Namco-Bandai. For shame.

@Laketown:
Still, I wonder if the number of Namco Museum SKUs they have out there are profitable if I continue to see them in bargain bins. I guess it's really cheap to collate all these games into one package and Namdai doesn't see it as a loss. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namco_Museum. I can certainly see that it's profitable to release a ton of DBZ and Naruto fighting games, but I would've thought that Namdai would have adopted an "Atlus" approach when localizing their Tales games (ie: having a limited print run to break even--and to stop releasing the games around the time a bigger game is released).

Mappy!!

I would buy this if it were to be found at a moderate price.

It's like an incognito Game Room QL!

Holy shit...this sucks.

The talking about Sinistar makes me wish that Sinistar was on Game Room...

The "Get Ready" voice in Grobda sounds eerily like Vinny's Isaac voice.

Jeff's knowledge of old ass video games continues to impress me.

Seriously?

SERIOUSLY?

This has more value than the Game Room quick looks.

People often say that they want games to go back to the "good ole days".

After seeing this, I have to say - they are wrong.

Posted by MormonWarrior

I believe the first real voice synthesis for a game was in Mattel's Space Spartans. I could be wrong, though.

If only Microsoft had signed Namco to Game Room.

Wait... DigDug 2 is considered bad

I had DigGug 2 on the NES and loved it. I didn't even know it was a sequel (I was little, and didn't know what the roman numerals meant, so I thought it was just DigDug).

It wasn't until years later that I discovered the first game, and I thought it was crap. Couldn't hold a candle to my NES DigDug (2). I still think it's crap. 2 is more of a puzzle game. You have to think about where you're going to drill. And if you have to pump an enemy, it means you failed.

I guess that's nostalgia for you.

I watched this while eating Fruity Pebbles. lol
I could live off of cereal. Mmm. . .

You've just taken a step away from being a fanboy. Congratulate yourself by taking a sweet, mainstream game out of petty cash.
Posted by HandsomeDead

Who is the person who sees this and actually wants it?

Posted by the_mystical_ninja

Pac-roll was so awesome they started talking abour cereals lol.

"Yak yak hurgh"

Brad Shoemaker.

They should make a Cap'n Crunch video game if they haven't already.

Posted by MeatSim

They should do a Quick Look on those sandwiches instead.

You beat me to it, that was the exact same sentiment I have (minus being oblivious to Roman Numerals). Dig Dug 2 is still my favorite in the franchise (including Mr. Driller).

Dude, how slow and dull does regular-ass Pac-Man seem when you've been high on DX for a while? O__O

Posted by blaakmawf

Man, grape-nuts are the foundation of my day. I looove them nuts.

Posted by PenguinDust

You know a game is in trouble when during the Quick Look a side conversation about breakfast cereal is more entertaining than the game itself.  The classics are cool, but the rest looks like utter crap.

Posted by AceOfMasta

I have Dig Dug 2.

Posted by DoctorWelch

ARE YOU HIGH!?!?!?! FRUITY PEBBLES ARE THE MOTHER FUCKING BOMB!!!!!

Posted by Winternet

I remember playing Super Pac-Man. It was awesome.
