Cool, really enjoyed this game on the Wii :)
Playing through this before I start DS2, and I'm really enjoying it. Using the sixaxis to play it isn't as awful as I was expecting.
another quicklook, awesome week so far. been wondering about getting this for the wii but its likely i'll wait and get it on ps3 once i can afford another one.
Lol I was thinking the same thing right before the subtitles soapbox. I couldn't find the option in ME2 last night.
I'm totally with Brad on the subtitles. Putting them anywhere but audio settings annoys the hell out of me.
Also, anyone else think that that one P-Sec dude you're with who loses it looks like Kiefer Sutherland?
" That girls voice actor is pretty fucking bad! "The voice actress who does Nicole (Isaac's not yet dead girlfriend) is even worse.
Watch the new movie Brad and Vinny. There is a part where your EXACT questions get answered in full detail.
Short version: the Red marker animates a bacterial organism, which thrives on dead cells and reanimates them. So if a dead body is within the Red Marker sphere of influence, which is called "DEAD SPACE" according to a data-entry I unlocked when I beat Dead Space 1, it will turn into a necro-morph by itself.
The bat-things merely accelerate/spread around the proces, i think. I believe the "Infestor" is just another necromorph brought to life in the same way as the others.
Loved Vinny in this because of this: You smash that thing you'll just make a mission for someone else later on. That & hitting the npcs with the TK bubble.
For a game like this the audio/video logs should be bigger prompt to set them apart & make it less optional. Stuff like tha tis what makes the world richer plus it just pissed people off when the logs are the same glow color to them as the other pickups & with you having little control of the camera if that it's just slightly vexing to see them do this.
Man that preview picture is startling after being up for quite some time also I loved this on the wii.
Rookie necromorph. Damn Vinny, you need to be in every quicklook. I'll pay double the price when I renew my membership.
I found it quite funny how Vinny and Brad asked themselves when they'd see the plasma cutter, *just* after having frantically picked it up.
" I found it quite funny how Vinny and Brad asked themselves when they'd see the plasma cutter, *just* after having frantically picked it up. "I think that was actually an upgrade for the cutter.
Loved this game on the wii. Glad that people will actually get a chance to play it, since I was one of the five people to buy it on the wii.
I've played the whole game at a friend's house,
I dunno, I didn't find it very interesting,
grab a second player for it
" @OllyOxenFree: I've heard much worse than that... or are you just anglophobic? "Nope. I just found her voice acting for this game horrid.
This has me really conflicted on which version of DS2 to pick up. I just don't really want to deal with the PS3 controller and my lack of DS1 save data for the 360 verison. But the one disc and this game is swinging me towards the PS3 version.
Funny. I've heard that the book is quite good. But I cast my options after I've read it. So far Vinny seems to be the only one in GB that still reads books.

" Subtitles isn't an audio option, it's a video option... just saying "I'd say it's a "display" option. That's the only place i found appropriate, but maybe partly because i'm a pc gamer.
Seriously, the rookie who goes crazy, he looks just like Keifer Sutherland right? It can't just be me.

" @themangalist said:Logically, I agree. Practically, I disagree. Usually subtitles exist because of "geez, this damn music is way too loud, I can't hear what they're saying! I'll go turn it down. Might as well turn on subtitles while I'm here so I don't miss any important dialog." Whenever anyone wants to toggle subtitles, they do so because of audio reasons, so even though it's a visual interface thing, it has a great reason for being under audio." @Soap said:Fair enough, I'd probably say display as well but when there is no Display option I'd say it's video option. I'm just wondering how this plays without a Move controller. My copy of DS2 is coming in the mail some time this week and I would like to play through this.
I agree with Brad, I really hate when they hide the subtitles option in some strange menu.
I also really hate when they just skip having subtitles at all.
