The guys that made Torchlight made the classic Diablo and Diablo 2. It sort of dampens my optimism for the quality of Diablo 3, now since it's made by a different team.

My roommate and I were totally psyched for Torchlight 2.  But it only just now dawned on us that it won't be on XBLA until, well, ... probably a good long while after it's PC/Mac release.

Not too bummed since I am just now going through Torchlight on Steam.

So'k Magicka run through's until then i guess, damn that game is two whole bags of awesome. Still does anyone know if Diablo 2 works on windows 7? I do miss looting. 

This seems neat, i really need to go back and play some more torchlight, never finished it, but i am really curious to see how this plays on a console.

I'm one of these PC players that puts the PC on a pedastal, mostly due to the fact that it is, you know, better. 
 
Seeing people complain here is just moronic. As a PC gamer I hate having certain franchises "dumbed down" to be multi-platform. eg Battlefield.
 
This game was already built for the PC and is now being ported for consoles?! What the hells wrong with that? More people get to play a great game. Plus their a small studio that had a hit, they deserve to get paid.

Oh man, and I was kinda psyched for getting to play it quite soonish, I loved the first one.

Sad to see it delayed, but The Witcher 2 comes out in May so I wouldn't have played it until at the earliest July anyway.

My computer blows so I never care to play games on it verses my 360. So I'm looking forward to the xbla release so I can finally give Torchlight a go.

As much as I want this it isn't really high on my list of games to get. Will probably get it during a Steam sale ('11 holiday, $10?).

Huh.  Well, good on them for having put in the time to try selling Torchlight and Diablo genre in general, to the console masses.

As long as it comes out before D3, it will get plenty of sales I think.  Waiting too long will just doom it.

Sign me up for those who are ok with the delay. I like to imagine that the extra time will go into even more polish. Loved the first, can't wait for the next.

AHHHH!!!! I knew this would fucking happen. Godammit, why bother releasing Torchlight on consoles anyway? 90% of the market for that type of game is on the PC anyway, so the argument" the console version will really help fund Torchlight 2" is mostly invalid. And also, whenever a company says something like "Ya the console version really gives us alot of insight and ideas about what we can do to help better the PC version," it usually means that they take the dumbed down aspects of the inferior console ports and put in on PC.

if they can make more money out of the game, all power to them ... and, lets be honest, there is not much to "dumb down" in a game like torchlight.

I don't like it but at the same time, I've got such a backlog it will be sometime before I get around to it anyway.  On the other hand, if Blizzard announces the release window for Diablo III before I get Torchlight II, I fairly certain I won't ever pick it up.  

The real question is if Torchlight III will hit before Diablo III. Signs point to yes.
