Problem solved!

@BrokenCage: Other major gaming websites also have tons of money to support themselves due to obnoxious advertising and splash pages. Also if you don't want to pay $50 all at once then pay $5 a month.

I didn't even realize this was a big deal, I liked when they started putting these on here so I didn't have to use JTV.
Not that I've ever had a problem watching the old stuff on JTV either, especially with adblock.  (although some of the labels are a mess there, I accidentally stumbled on that awesome 5 hour retro round-up)

Oh Internet.

The second half of the Bombcast and TNT are two big shining examples. Also, most of the current membership bonuses are completely free on every other major gaming website on the internet. IE: The mobile site. Most of the HD footage is of video games that you can see in HD on any other gaming website, or Youtube.  GB just needs some kind of original content (aside from Whiskey Media Happy Hour), like Ryan's history of Civilization. That was a one-off video that would be worth a subscription as a series. I don't know, I mean I'm not designing their site and it's just my opinion, but read the comments. People immediately bitch about paying for something that they used to get for free, and as I mostly use the site for the achievement tracking, I don't want to pay fifty dollars for a t-shirt. I'm sorry, I know I'm supposed to support the site because they're cool guys, but I'm tight about my money. "
Maybe Im dumb, but when did people used to get TNT's archived to the site for free? I remember a free one last week.  TNT is still free on justin.tv, and people have even archived it out of the goodness of their hearts. Like I said before. upload the TNT to youtube, then you dont have to worry about the j.tv commercials and you can watch it at your leisure.

@Skillface: How is that lame? What a stupid comment.

Love the whining from people that don't pay.  As if you have a reason to be up in arms.

Watching it on JTV is a major pain, especially when one lives outside the USA. I think its a smart business move (alas, with neither money nor credit card I can't subscribe yet).

Paid members only? Look, I understand giving HH to paid members only, give them an awesome show and leave the rest of the members to enjoy all the other great content of the site. But making recordings of the TNT Paid Members only?

I personally have a shitty experience with Justin.tv  every time I go on it; it loads terribly, sometimes it just stops playing and won't start again, quality is erratic, and i'm sure i'm not the only one experiencing these issues.  Of course, you guys KNOW than we can already see the recordings through things like Justin.tv so it's not like you're trying to make TNT paid-exclusive, so what are you doing? Just deciding to punish your unpaid members with a shitty viewing experience? I completely supported you guys during the initial hubbub over paid members and their benefits, but this is where I draw the line. :(

So something that never ended up actually occurring and something that was available for free once, was never free otherwise and has an alternative that provides the exact same functionality that has always existed. Great stuff, way to send the message that they shouldn't add features to the site and then allow people to access it for free for any length of time. "

What are you talking about? I said they keep trying I did not say they do. Also, there are seven pages of comments, that have nothing to do with me that show how people react to having something free taken away from them, even if it was only free one time. So I'm not sending any message that wasn't always sent a dozen times over. "
You're not even voicing an opinion or forming an argument anymore. Relying on mob mentality and other's lack of knowledge is only getting across the idea that the vocal minority don't do their research. Try making an internet petition next time. "

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Your argument is that a website trying to sustain itself off of subscriptions from its members shouldn't care about mob mentality? It's the mob they're trying to sustain themselves on. In fact, neither in this or any of your previous posts have you refuted any part of my argument. In fact, you've only proven that you are incapable of comprehending it. Your comments about people that are upset lacking knowledge only prove you suffer from misguided elitism. Still, since my argument is non-existent, I'll assume your part in this discussion is finished.

I think their mistake was offering up the first TNT Archive free. As soon as I saw it I thought "Now that's something I would have paid for access to" but I also immediately thought "Switching it to paid now would just bring rage out of everyone for taking something away." This seems to be GB's major downfall on the subscription front. They haven't really come up with anything awesome to subscribe for, they just keep trying to charge for content that used to be free.
You sound pathetic. "

I doubt you even read what I posted, but nice try.

It's like a DVR. You pay for DVR access. No different then an archive...

Even with a download manager spliting it into multiple sections I get a pretty poor data rate, It would take arounf 5 hours to download.

Great to see these achieved on the site.

That's an interesting decision. I don't so much watch these as I listen to them while playing on a console or something though, so the JTV one is fine.

Barf. I wish you guys had started this with the First Strike TNT :(. I want to see myself 1) kill Jeff and 2) get the final killcam in HD. Oh well, and as others have said, thanks for putting these on the site!

I dont understand how people can complain about not getting to watch the best version of something they arent even supporting when you can watch the regular version for free over at JTV.  Lame imo.

You've claimed you did more work than me so I assumed you were involved in research. That is often times supported by a stipend. Not much point in getting really involved in academia if you don't do research but whatevs.

My point being that there are many people going through college and that isn't much of an excuse to your self-entitlement. Subbers and free users alike were using Justin.tv before, don't see it being that much of a problem right now if they're not deleting it from jtv.

Either deal with it or get the sub.
