GB shoulda just charged for the BombCast...
" @patrick said:It's like a DVR. You pay for DVR access. No different then an archive..." @gbrading said:Not sure what the whole protip thing is, but yeh you do have to pay. Look back and you will see Dave's (valid) explanation of why this is. "" Uh, excuse-me Giant Bomb? If I watched this live I didn't have to pay, but to watch it back at another time I do? "Protip: No. "
"We dont do creeper on GiantBomb"
If only they knew what would happen the next day.

" @BrokenCageYou sound pathetic. "
I think their mistake was offering up the first TNT Archive free. As soon as I saw it I thought "Now that's something I would have paid for access to" but I also immediately thought "Switching it to paid now would just bring rage out of everyone for taking something away." This seems to be GB's major downfall on the subscription front. They haven't really come up with anything awesome to subscribe for, they just keep trying to charge for content that used to be free.
" @patrick said:So something that never ended up actually occurring and something that was available for free once, was never free otherwise and has an alternative that provides the exact same functionality that has always existed. Great stuff, way to send the message that they shouldn't add features to the site and then allow people to access it for free for any length of time.
" @BrokenCage said:The second half of the Bombcast and TNT are two big shining examples. "

" @patrick said:You're not even voicing an opinion or forming an argument anymore. Relying on mob mentality and other's lack of knowledge is only getting across the idea that the vocal minority don't do their research. Try making an internet petition next time.

What are you talking about? I said they keep trying I did not say they do. Also, there are seven pages of comments, that have nothing to do with me that show how people react to having something free taken away from them, even if it was only free one time. So I'm not sending any message that wasn't always sent a dozen times over. "

Paid members only? Look, I understand giving HH to paid members only, give them an awesome show and leave the rest of the members to enjoy all the other great content of the site. But making recordings of the TNT Paid Members only?
I personally have a shitty experience with Justin.tv every time I go on it; it loads terribly, sometimes it just stops playing and won't start again, quality is erratic, and i'm sure i'm not the only one experiencing these issues. Of course, you guys KNOW than we can already see the recordings through things like Justin.tv so it's not like you're trying to make TNT paid-exclusive, so what are you doing? Just deciding to punish your unpaid members with a shitty viewing experience? I completely supported you guys during the initial hubbub over paid members and their benefits, but this is where I draw the line. :(
" Why should this be free? Not like you can't watch it on JTV. "Watching it on JTV is a major pain, especially when one lives outside the USA. I think its a smart business move (alas, with neither money nor credit card I can't subscribe yet).
Love the whining from people that don't pay. As if you have a reason to be up in arms.
" @patrick said:Maybe Im dumb, but when did people used to get TNT's archived to the site for free? I remember a free one last week. TNT is still free on justin.tv, and people have even archived it out of the goodness of their hearts. Like I said before. upload the TNT to youtube, then you dont have to worry about the j.tv commercials and you can watch it at your leisure.
" @BrokenCage said:The second half of the Bombcast and TNT are two big shining examples. Also, most of the current membership bonuses are completely free on every other major gaming website on the internet. IE: The mobile site. Most of the HD footage is of video games that you can see in HD on any other gaming website, or Youtube. GB just needs some kind of original content (aside from Whiskey Media Happy Hour), like Ryan's history of Civilization. That was a one-off video that would be worth a subscription as a series. I don't know, I mean I'm not designing their site and it's just my opinion, but read the comments. People immediately bitch about paying for something that they used to get for free, and as I mostly use the site for the achievement tracking, I don't want to pay fifty dollars for a t-shirt. I'm sorry, I know I'm supposed to support the site because they're cool guys, but I'm tight about my money. "

I didn't even realize this was a big deal, I liked when they started putting these on here so I didn't have to use JTV.
Not that I've ever had a problem watching the old stuff on JTV either, especially with adblock. (although some of the labels are a mess there, I accidentally stumbled on that awesome 5 hour retro round-up)
Oh Internet.
" Here is a link to these on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1zrQS7MIhA "Thanks for the link!
My reaction during every moment of gameplay:
Watching my first and only TNT appearance. I need to get back into this game.
