I'm not paying for another subscription... This is stupid. Make money by advertising, you got PLENTY of opportunities for it. I am a college student and I eat ramen almost every night on my floor... and I imagine there are plenty of video game enthusiasts out there in the same boat. Temporary poor SOBS. Its really annoying every time I see a "paid member only thing" for something like this.

Why are people complaining about something that was never archived on the site in the first place? Subbers pay to support the bandwidth cost of hosting these massive files. Makes sense to me.

And there's always justin.tv. It's all in HD there, too, and free!
So true. Beggars need to stop bitching.
Posted by Eclair

Thank you for hosting these on giantbomb! Justin.tv has never worked for me (Apparently it doesn't play well with certain ISPs?) so it's great to finally be able to see some TNT!

Posted by Jaxboy

"That's not going to happen again.  I can assure you of that."

WTF?  I enjoyed last week's TNT.  If Ryan's joking, I don't get it.

It's a shame nobody in the office is into Tekken, VF is pretty dire in its production values.

My personal choice for the next VS Capcom Game? Kellogs VS Capcom - imagine all your favorite breakfast cereal mascots battling all of your Capcom favorites. And yes, the cornflakes rooster would be a playable character.

God, Virtua Fighter looks so boring! As someone who grew up with the Vs. series, the slowest I can go is Super Street Fighter IV, I don't get the people who say that MVC3 is too fast.

Go to Justin.tv to watch the lo-fi version. If you're not willing to pay, there's no reason you should be able to watch the videos here.

the last TNT is still viewable to everyone , which is weird

are they going to get rid of the JustinTV archives, or their account there, or what?

if the GiantBomb staff could explain where this is going in the Bombcast or something (unless they already have somewhere), that'd be great

Posted by DG991
@TheCheese33: They basically are going to divide the community. And I can never find shit on JTV so I don't even bother, I usually watch the giantbomb videos on my phone with the app anyways but I can't for this one.

It's becoming increasingly annoying to do anything but listen to the bombcast...

" Imagine living in the UK, where you have to pay a TV license just to watch regular-ass TV. With that in mind, Giant Bomb subscriptions are a steal; better content and more of what I'm interested in. "
As someone who does live in the UK I think this is a great move. Staying up till 2am twice a week to watch TNT and HH is a bit of a ball ache and knowing I can watch both the day after in the form of a nice HD vid' is great. HH had become my Saturday-morning-wake-up-entertainment and now they are making the TNT stream available as well I'm equally happy. To non-subscribers of course you can still get this content just without the slickness of it being available through the site itself, but you know how it is - you pay's your money you get's your choice.

I hope being for paid members only is some kind of mistake. If it isn't then this is laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame.

@outerabiz:
It just amazes me how much you see stuff like this one this site.  Everyone complaining about members only content as if they fell like Jeff and the gang owe them something.  It's like if you went to apple.com and kept complaining about having to pay money for songs on iTunes and yelling that Steve Jobs should make it all free.  These guys work hard, and they keep their site comparatively ad free when you look at it next to sites like IGN (*shudder*).  They also push out an enormous amount of content every week with a very small staff, who seem to be working their asses off.  They deserve the subscription fees for their content.  You do not automatically deserve all the content just because you come to the site.  It is a business, it doesn't work that way.  They have to pay the bills somehow, and if doing it with subscriptions if the alternative to ads, great.  I wouldn't be opposed to them putting ads for dick pills and shady porn and payday loan websites all over for non-subscribers though, if that's really what you guys want.
Posted by TheJoker138
@Raven_Sword: Yes.  You can still watch it live on Thursdays, and you can still see the archive versions of it on justin.tv even if you aren't a subscriber.  All these people are throwing a huge shit fit because they have to go to a different website to watch it, which is how it has been since TNT started. They haven't taken anything away from non-subscribers.

i would like to complain about the people complaining about complaining, it's high time something was done about it!

kind of liked when vinny hosted tnt more :|

Then go make money? I'm a college student and I do research work under two professors and enroll for 15 or so hours of classes every semester.

Besides, they're still on Justin.tv.

This game definitely could use some Family Circus kids, thanks for even mentioning the idea.

This should be renamed, Jeff's Thursday night game session. Can someone else play?.. LOL

Giantbomb this is fucking weak.

Posted by DG991
@ShinAli: And I do twice that amount of work, I am on the track team, and I probably go to a better college then you. That might explain why you can afford to pay for subscriptions.

I watch Giantbomb videos on the android app on the go cause I usually don't have enough time to watch it at a computer.

Is HD Progressive working for anyone?

Posted by StrawHatLaw13

THANK YOU for mentioning RIVAL SCHOOLS  man.  I thought it was just me. :)

This makes sense, but it still bums me out.

I'm not surprised by this change of events. The moment everybody on the Star Craft II TNT was commenting

on how great it was to see these TNT's in HD and to download, I knew Giantbomb was going to do the

exclusive paid members thing for the next one.

We could play epenis all day and assume the lesser out of each other but when it comes down to it, I support myself well enough through my research stipends that I can afford to rent a house and splurg a little bit.

If you're doing 30 hours of classes and working on 4 research projects and you can't afford 50 dollars, then you're doing something very wrong.
Posted by DG991
@ShinAli: How the amount of classes I take translates into more money doesn't make much sense.

Anyway throw some ads on the site for unpaid members. I don't really care.
But now watching a TNT is too much of a hassle since I only did it on my phone with the app.

You've claimed you did more work than me so I assumed you were involved in research. That is often times supported by a stipend. Not much point in getting really involved in academia if you don't do research but whatevs.

My point being that there are many people going through college and that isn't much of an excuse to your self-entitlement. Subbers and free users alike were using Justin.tv before, don't see it being that much of a problem right now if they're not deleting it from jtv.

Either deal with it or get the sub.
Posted by MrHammeh

I dont understand how people can complain about not getting to watch the best version of something they arent even supporting when you can watch the regular version for free over at JTV.  Lame imo.

Posted by Absolute_Zero

Barf. I wish you guys had started this with the First Strike TNT :(. I want to see myself 1) kill Jeff and 2) get the final killcam in HD. Oh well, and as others have said, thanks for putting these on the site!

Coonce's obsession with X-23 creeped me out. LOL

That's an interesting decision. I don't so much watch these as I listen to them while playing on a console or something though, so the JTV one is fine.

Even with a download manager spliting it into multiple sections I get a pretty poor data rate, It would take arounf 5 hours to download.

Not sure what the whole protip thing is, but yeh you do have to pay.

Look back and you will see Dave's (valid) explanation of why this is.

I can't believe they played VF! That's awesome.

Posted by BrokenCage

I think their mistake was offering up the first TNT Archive free. As soon as I saw it I thought "Now that's something I would have paid for access to" but I also immediately thought "Switching it to paid now would just bring rage out of everyone for taking something away." This seems to be GB's major downfall on the subscription front. They haven't really come up with anything awesome to subscribe for, they just keep trying to charge for content that used to be free.

Why should this be free? Not like you can't watch it on JTV.
