I've had a 'Smart Chop' for like a year. Makes cutting up onions so much easier.
" I almost always like the Screened segments even though I'm not interested in every single film that comes out. I even like the Comic Vine segments from time to time, and I don't give a shit about comic books. It's a fine format. But either way, it's not fair at all to appoint Giant Bomb as The Site That Matters and throw everyone else under the bus. These are good sites trying to build an audience, and I don't think they should be begrudged their equal part of the show just so Giant Bomb can get even more attention than they already do. It's not like we're lacking great GB content every other day of the week. "I'm, at least, not trying to shit all over the other sites of WM. All I'm trying to suggest is that these live shows need to be organized and balanced better and the content of them more consistent. I'm not objecting to Screened segments on the live show, but make them more interesting and varied. Literally watching a movie trailer is kind of sad and I'd feel pretty bad if I was actually paying for that.

(And as for GB being "the site that matters", I'm not trying to be a douche, but Screened has an eighth of the audience of GB, let's not be assholes about the numbers, but let's also not delude ourselves to sound nice and fair. So if the goal is actually making the site grow, I don't honestly think the segment ideas they're pulling are accomplishing that goal.) "
Using the viewing stats for the Happy Hour from the sites is a terrible way to judge how popular they are. A lot of people who visit one WM site visit others, too, but they aren't going to open the stream for every site they visit. Screened and Tested are pretty awesome, Comicvine does an okay job, and Giantbomb has a legacy of making absolute crap really interesting.
That was great, going to sign up for a annual membership once the money transfers from my bank account to my PayPal account !

I just don't think harping on the relative unpopularity of any of the sites is going to encourage them to make the segments any better. Of course there's realistically the more important sites and the less important ones, but using that to try and marginalize certain sites is sort of crass.
" @Red12b said:Or more likely fail, that's a nice attitude you have there buckaroo.I got no email. How many requests? Enough to keep this thing going? Why should I wait for a site to get its personality formed? (Or more likely fail!) This stuff has been going nowhere for a while, especially when the GB crew are away. "
People wanted merch, This is also a way to let non members know that they can buy T-shirts which a lot of people have asked for, you got an email saying it was available as did I, but non members didn't. Also, before the Big live show happened there were requests for cross site stuff, this is the way they cater to that, think of it as a Whiskey show (Which it is) not a Giant Bomb show, so what you don't like some of the other sites others do, and as the sites grow and get their personalities formed then they'll get into a good stride, I think it's going all right so far, "

I agree though that Screened needs to bring something better to the table, I can't really think of what to be honest but something better than Matt Rorie giving something 5 stars and showing 5 puppy's,
That shit has gotten old, what could they do? and if you think of an idea, let them know,
What's the worst that could happen? "
When they were playing We Dare and near the beginning Jeff just blurts out "I need this..." I fuckin' lost it.
" Tomorrow is Saturday, and then comes Sunday, but for right now it's all about Friday and the Whiskey Media Happy Hour. Sorry for the bad Rebecca Black "Friday" joke. I know it's not really funny anymore, but I had to say it.Damn you to hell :P

I love how Norm and Will have trouble with technology aimed at midwest middle-age house wifes.
You take away my puppies, I'll take what's dearest to you! YOU HEAR ME!? ... it's all I have... "/agree
Oh man, even the preview image is making me laugh. God, I missed something amazing didn't I?
Can't wait till I have a job and I can actually support Whiskey Media. Thanks for the free taste of what I have to look forward to.
So, my videos are loading slow as shit. Anyone else having the issue? I checked speedtest and my internet is fine. Pages on the site load great, but this video is taking forever to load.
We Dare will make for some very funny Youtube clips in the future!
Thanks for an awsome show as always!

So on Firefox 4 the Progressive option will not work but the Streaming option does...weird.
" So on Firefox 4 the Progressive option will not work but the Streaming option does...weird. "Progressive works fine for me on Firefox 4.
Hardcore Dave should be in the new Mortal Kombat game as that one thing that slides out (can't remember what it's called, though). It's so awesome!

What's-his-name in the middle of the couch in the first segment looks a LOT like Angus Scrimm when he turns to the side.

You can't replace him! "
It's really disappointing to see so many nonchalant criticisms on nearly every free HH...
Moving on with the show, i want to see Ryan thrusting all day, and i love 01:02:53 so much. I really enjoyed the Wondercon section too, and holy shit, that Tested segment again, unbelievable, and sexier than We Dare by a mile. I could not stop crying with laughter. Thank you guys so god damn much for this!
I gotta say it, so much better without calls too. Shirt ads aside, it flowed so much better! i assume that is because it was a free one.
" @528seven said:I disagree with your views and therefore you should shut the fuck up." @diz said:Look at the viewer stats during the show: Practically no-one else watches the other streams. I'm not interested in comics, I'm not interested in films or their critics and hate the puerile Tested embarrassments. If only Anime-Vice had a slot! Honestly, the Tested sections are poor, since Will is not a good presenter. Plenty of other shows make technology look interesting to watch, so they really have no excuse, apart from themselves. I remember watching on-the Spot with Geoff and Ryan on Gamespot. Those shows (with Rich Gallup and Alex) were so awesome. Why can't they do something like that again? A live hour full of different games and competitions, featuring the viewers? I'd be right up for that! Also I thought this site had no ads for members. What's with all the t-shirt ads? "" GiantBomb bits were great. The rest was rubbish - once again. "Of course the GB segments will be better, because they already do content daily that fits the live show. All they have to do is a short-form Quick Look. Whereas Tested couldn't really make an interesting segment out of some new smartphone, and they can't show iPhone games because Giant Bomb already plays games in their segment, so they have to resort to showing crappy kitchen implements and TV dinners. And they do a fine job of that for what it is. "
I look forward the most to the Tested bits as they are completely random and for the most part fun.
Apart from the creeper cam a couple of weeks ago the Giant Bomb bits are quite boring.
This week it was a poor showing with T-shirt Commercials that went on for way too long and some uninteresting stuff.
Glad I don't pay for this. It's good, but I'd rather not pay to see ads on these.
